Restaurants: I don't really know any of the Rojales ones. Are you staying at Palacios? If you are, then there's one just around the corner (at the roundabout, turn left and just over the bridge). I haven't been there but I know it exists.

Alternatively, thre's a couple of really nice places in Formentera. I couldn't direct you there, but if you walk past the apartments and head towards the town square you'll find them. It's still walking distance!

When I was there last, we went to a chinese restuarant in Rojales.  If you go to the back of the menu book there is a page which does special deals with a starter (spring roll, soup, maybe something else), a selection of main courses, icecream and a drink (includes half cravate of wine).  I think it came to something silly like 12-15euro for all three of us!!!

I can't remember the name, but when you go from Formentera to Rojales, you turn left into the main street of Rojales, its just on the left.  When I go the end of October I will have to write down the places we try and then we can exchange recommendations.

The Chinese is called Neuvo Hong-Kong and is in Avenida Los Palacios in Rojales. When you turn down the street (Avenida Los Palacios) - with all the bars and clubs, it is first restaurant on left.

Just back after my flying visit - just wonderful !!! We stayed at the Los Palacios hotel. Very basic but clean cheap and friendly (40e for a double room per night) The apts are really coming on. The first two floors have alot of the internal walls built already. We saw some tiling up on one of the phase 1 apts. The quality of the work is good. The colour of the bathroom tiles is modern and classy. !

That chinese restaurant was just brilliant.  Beautiful decor and friendly service. 4.95 for a three course including wine/beer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We had our breakfast at the bridge bar. More expensive but it was so relaxing to sit out and watch the world go by !!!!

I will download some photos soon when I remember how to do it again.

What do you mean Christmas 08 - completion is supposed to be May 08!!!!  I'm actually hoping they come in quicker with the speed they are working at.

Just got the message before I left work. The original date was May 08 but I knew that would never come to pass - Spain after all !!!! When I got the bank guarentee ( on my last visit)  it stated that it should be completed by Oct 08. I think that the new girl in the office was just trying to cover herself by saying xmas 08

But At least I know that they are worth waiting for. I spoke to various english/irish people out there. They are all raving about the area. It has a perfect mix of cultures !!
