Golf Course Update

Just back from 4 lovely days in Condado.Watched last day of tournament.Course looks amazing but unfortunately looks like no one will be able to play on it until mid January due to fact that Pro Shop is way behind schedule and there is nowhere to pay for your round.Suggested you could pay at Bar but this was ignored.On a brighter note,Pros spoke highly of course and said its one of the best in Spain.Thought about sneaking on at 6th hole but then saw security car stopping a buggy on the course and checking that they were supposed to be there.Decided it was too risky,don't want to be barred from playing before course opens!!!!!

Ah well just have to be patient and look forward to next visit in March.Can't wait.

I'm not normally negative re; PW however, they really can stretch your patients. While out in CDA in July and Sept every green keeper I spoke to were all 100% confident the golf course would be ready in November and guess what, it certainly was. One would also have thought that PW could have worked out that even at 80 golfers (50 euro’s) per day would = circa 4000 euro's per day which is 28,000 euro's per week. How many weeks have PW missed since Nov??? How much revenue missed 100k +

So why are PW so bad at making money??? It's not hard to see, they seem to miss every opportunity, the Clover, the restaurant etc.  All opened late.

That’s my negativity over, I’m just so pleased the whole place in turning out to be so fantastic,  I am just a little peed off  that I’m not able to play  CdA when over in a week or so. Oh well, all good things come to those that wait.

Have got to echo your thoughts there.  The driving range could have been have been finished first and up and running months ago to give residents and vistors a little taster and PW a bit of income.

At the end of the day if the course is in good enough condition to host a tournament its good enough to open for us, they really need to pull their fingers out, its not like they are building anything else at the moment.

Luckily i'm not over till end of february and god I hope it will be open by then, but I am feeling a bit frustrated for all of you who are heading over there for the christmas period and it it still not being open.

Fingers crossed I guess.

From what i was told when i was out 2 weeks ago the hi5 tournament had been booked months ago and had they not wanted to lose face by cancelling they had to have course ready by then. I suspect our wishes weren't high up on the list. To be honest when i saw it back in June I never thought it would be ready this year. A few more weeks and we will be off. Every review i have seen or heard says its up there with best in Spain.

I have looked for reviews of our course and cannot find any.

Can you let me know where your reviews came from please.

To me it looks like the marketing department at PW are on a permanent siesta. I would imaging that information on the opening of the Signature Golf Course would sell properties? The opening of restaurants and events during Holidays are also seemingly kept a secret. Is there any way we can persuade PW to provide more information ?

Not sure they'd listen. Have read somewhere that PW telecon didnt know there is no voucher internet access available on the resort- they didnt know Manzano's was closed. Talk of left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, Cant see this would be much different! What would have been wrong with having fee's paid at the bar for a short period of time, just for owners- residents wouldnt need the showers etc?
