Should I still pay the agreed price for my Menta Stage 3

Hi, does anyone have any advice on what to do? I am waiting for my Stage 3 Menta apartment to be started and am assured it will be Summer 2010 for completion. When it's finished do I really need to pay the agreed price for it or is there any way of negotiating a better deal given the collapsed housing prices at present. Should I chuck in my £50K deposit and start again? I would appear I can get a larger apartment for less money if I wished to buy one right now.

I would think that negotiating a lower price would be unlikely as I am not aware of anyone else managing to do this, despite significant delays, lack of facilities etc and I don't think they would like to set a precedent.

Chucking in your deposit and walking away may not be that simple, as Calidona have threatened to take those who don't complete to court, to get the outstanding sum.

There is the option of taking them to court for failure to fullfil their side of the contract , due to late delvery, unfair contract (no completion date in absolute terms), failure to provide facilities as promised etc

unfortunately no simple options
