 Hi Roy

If it's a joke, funny isn't the word I would use. Can you tell us who told you that this was a 'funny' joke? Apparently Pablo also said that the clubhouse  would not be completed until more people complete, do you know if this is another 'funny' joke?

I see your point Bigdivot, it may take several years to complete if the theme park goes ahead. it's a big 'if', but if it is seen that Paramount are building a massive theme park, I'm sure people will start investing now rather than wait nearer the completion date. Prices are likely to recover much more quickly around the area of any theme park and I'm sure that recovery will begin as soon as there is definite confirmation (if that ever happens), and people will want to invest at the lowest point of the property market.

Hi all

There appears to be a catch 22, they appear to be unwilling to complete the clubhouse until more purchasers complete and the purchasers are unlikely to complete without a clubhouse.

I have heard from several lawyers on this point and they all agree that Corvera have to provide the promised advertised facilities by law, even though they were not explicitly stated in the contract. They can not use the excuse that purchasers have not completed blah blah blah. So I agree with twofish that you should get together to apply some sort of pressure. I wouldn't like to be trying to rent or resell a property on a golf course with out a clubhouse ( or with out all the other promised facilities).

Until recently were they not promising to complete the clubhouse by the end of the year?

I think that anyone who is offered an alternative apartment will be told that it is in a better position and there will be a premium to be paid, it's your standard sales spin BS. You just end up getting less for your money but feel happy about it. It's just like being told by your original sales agent that they or a member of their family have invested in the development, it gives you greater  confidence in the development, just your standard sales BS. Just because they are shovelling it doesn't mean you have to take it.

Your properties are probably worth something like 50% of purchase price, a large part of the is due to the lack of facilities that you are entitled to. Will people rent on properties miles from anywhere with no facilities, I doubt it. I strongly suspect that communal fees will rocket, the facilities will never be built and the prices will not recover in the foreseeable future and you will have  one hell of a job to resell them, a financial millstone thanks to Corvera. But if you are happy with all that, good luck.
