Help please - water and electric on Garden 4 - Los Naranjos

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can find out if our electric and water meters have been fitted as we are due out with friends in two weeks and are worried we won't have any.  I have e-mailed PW but have not got a reply.

Help I am really panicking

We are in Block 10 penthouse and we have had our connection fee from iberdrola taken from our bank account but nothing for water as yet.

We are on Jardin 4 also and have made some enquiries today.  Have e-mailed polaris and no reply as yet but have been told by Jardin 4 resident that the meters have been fitted but everything is still on builders supply. 

Will have to keep tabs on this one because we are out at the end of this month and don't want to be caught out, because we completed with power of attorney we are not sure if everything was signed to automatically switch over when builders supply is turned off.

hi all ,  we are in garden 4 and had our meters and 25 amp breaker fitted mon24   when we were out there !

got  back this tuesday and our connection fee has been taken and also our contract was there to sign in our mailbox which you sign one copy and send back keeping the second,  water not installed yet

we left my mother and father out there and apparently wed this week those who had not had meters fitted and breaker installed were without builders supply , condado customer services have relocated back to polaris head office but people were being told to contact iberdrola, wont no the outcome until mum and dad return saturday

our electric was set up via polaris using our solicitors who have power of attorney

We too completed by POA and are unsure whether the utilities connection forms have been signed. Fortunately PW still have our key so there shouldn't be a problem with access.

We have asked our keyholder to let us know if we have been swithched over when he does his weekly checks (We're in Block 2)

We are out at the end of the month too, so I hope it gets sorted by then.

Is there anyone out there who stay/rent out in Penthouse 6? Have the meters been fitted there yet? We're sure that we signed the forms at the solicitors office but are now doubting ourselves. We are out again at the end of Sept and will have our elderly parents and 1 yr old with us. Dreading the thought of turning up and having no elec/water.

We are dreading the thought of turning up with no supplies.  We did POA also but it would appear that in our garden(4) some meters have already been installed and connection fees taken.  I have checked my bank account today and nothing has been taken.  PW still have a key so I am hoping and praying that they have given it to the utilities people to fit the meters.  We are only out for a long weekend with friends and it will not be good if everything is off.  Can anyone in Garden 4 Los Naranjos let me know what is happening - is the builders supply still on or not.

Make sure that you inform PW of the date that you will be arriving, that way they can ensure you have a supply of water and electric.

It is likely to be off, unless you request it.

Were on Jardin 4 naranjos and did POA.  Our connection fee has been taken off and PW have our key.  If this is the case for you you should be ok. 

Suggest you email terry and jill and ask them if they would mind checking your outside lights once the builders supply is off.  I'm over there on 21 sept but this is probably too late to do anything for you.

I had 158.20 euros taken for electric.  Nothing so far for the water though.  On Jill and Terry's forum, caroline who is staying on Naranjos 4 at the moment says the electricity hasn't been done yet for most of our apartments. 

We were informed yesterday that our electric meters are now connected. We are in Naranjos 7

Seriously,  our keyholder told us yesterday ours was done.  Whether that was yesterday, the day before or whatever, I don't know.

Don't know how you can tell if it's done, maybe someone can tell us?  Is there something you can see in the fuse panel inside or is there something you can see through the little glass panel in the door, out back?   Just a thought,  does the call center know there is someone there?  Cos if they don't have a key,  Iberdrola probably wouldn't have you on the list?

We have the same key holder as you guys and I haven't heard anything from her regarding this. I have e-mailed her to see what's going on because I don't  want to be left with any extra costs to get connected later on.

Our electric in Naranjos 7 has already been done, it was done last Friday,  we know our next door neighbours has also been done.  So don't understand the theory of what you have been told.

Hi all,

Thanks for the info. I've just realised that if there has been any application it might be that it was on my husband' name, which is a non-resident, and the one who got the mortgage, that could be the reason they do not have anything on my name.

I will call then tomorrow and check if this is the situation.
