Summer market was on on Sunday night, also the road down to the port you have to take pot luck going down, sometimes they tie the fence up and other times it's open, but it is quite easy to untie it if you have a little patience.  Makes a terrific difference being able to walk down to the port from Coto Real, it only takes 20 minutes and your in the port.

Just a couple of things. Rather than take a chance with the fence at the end of the road you can always walk through Pueblo Mexicano. Regarding the finishing of the road, I was told by an agent some months ago that the bottom wont be finished till the community development is done because that's where the money is coming from to complete it. May be rubbish but that's what I was told.

Hi all

Bottom bit of the Road, where it joins the N340, is now open to cars ! Yippee. So you can now enter and leave as we used to be able to do.

Still has to receive a final tarmac but it's very much useable.

PS I claim to be the first one to use it !

Oh no you're not. I used it the day it opened. :¬)

I've got an apartment in Pueblo Mexicano and the bottom bit of road was done as part of the resurfacing of our parking area. They even had a TV crew there whilst the work was being done. We now have to drive up to the first roundabout then back down to get in to our urbinisation..

Walked around Arenal whilst I was out last week and they do seem to be doing a lot of work so hopefully it will be reasonably populated soon. Really nice development, we almost bought an apartment there a couple of times over the last year but was worried about all the loose ends. Seems to be coming together now.

Good luck to all those still waiting to move in. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Also noticed a lot of work going on in the general area of Duquesa so hopefully it'll be looking a bit tidier in the near future.

Drat !!

That's an unfair advantage, living at Puebla Mexicana.  All right, I now claim to be the first one from Coto Real to use the new road.

We had a walk round Puebla Mexicana and it's a real nice development. One of my mate's neighbours bought there some 20 years ago from memory.

Anytime we drove past Arenal there were always workmen beavering away, mainly on the electrics as far as we could see.

Back to the Road, when the streetlights are connected up, and when hopefully they will be planting trees and plants up the central paving, it will be really really nice.
