Awnings

 hi, we have a ground floor apartment and are wanting an awning and wondered if anyone can point us in the right direction and prices?

Obviously Polaris Homestyle can supply you with an awning but this will probably be in the region of 900 euros.  However there are other blind suppliers in the area and it may be worthwhile shopping about.  Some people with ground floor apartments have gone for wooden marquee type structures - don't know if this is of interest to you - personal choice I suppose.  Perhpas you would be best to look around the  jardins and see what appeals.

Just one point though.  As you are on the ground floor be aware that there is a pipe coming out of your wall above where your awning will be and any rain water and dirty water when your neighbours above clean their terrace comes out and will make a terrible mess of your awning.  Some ground floor owners have had a guttering systerm installed by (I think it is Barry - not sure) an owner in the Jardins which appears to solve this problem.  There has been some discussion whether this will be allowed by I can't see anyone really objecting as this is the only remedy available for this problem and it is as neat a system as anyone can come up with.

spoke to a couple of companies on site who have give us cards but they have not got back with prices since november !!

We have had our awnings supplied and fitted by BRYAN'S BLINDS

(www.bryansblinds.com) Very good job and cheaper than most. He also fitted our

internal roller blinds. Hope this helps.

Hi all,   have 2 bed top appartment on Jardines and would like to get awning / blinds to go on the wooden structure.   one to cover top that can be opened or closed and blind / curtain for 2 sides that also open and close.  Just an idea that it would give people a bit of privacy if they wanted!   any ideas please.

Thanks Jeremy and Valerie for your kind words, we are quite happy to come and discuss what people need either face to face or by email, both awnings and curtains for pergolas and all sorts of interior blinds, we are getting to know our way round over there quite well

Can anyone assist with the approximate size of the pergola on a 3 bed apartment on the Jardines.

Like others I am looking at awnings but need to look at all options with the current prices being quoted

Has anyone bought an awning from a company called 'Toldos Protesol' and if so would you recommend them? We had a flier from them under our door when we were last out and they've quoted €800 for an awning for a 2 bed including a PVC cover to protect it in the winter. The price seems good compared to other quotes we've had...
