When I was looking for my mortgage I went to several different sources but eventually I spoke to Stefan Onsmark from mortgage 4 spain (www.mortgage4spain.com).  They charge a fixed fee and I wish I had just gone there in the first place as it was so simple in the end, all done by e-mail and fax and I had a mortgage offer with 48 hours.  Excellent service and communication. Some brokers charge a fortune so beware it is worth visiting their website.

done my mortgage over the internet with caja murcia, excellent service and very easy to do, only took 15 minutes when we finally signed in october, they are also the bank that funds PW and the condado development so there are no fees associated with other lenders,

Welcome to the forum and good luck in getting your mortgage, in the current climate it can be tricky in Spain  - we had two mortgaga offers withdrawn at the end of last year as the market crashed - now sorted with Bancaja hopefully and looking to complete in the next few weeks......

I can highly recommend our broker Patrick Robinson based at Marbella Mortgages as above - he has done an amazing job in these troubled times for us  - he charges a fee but for the lack of grief we have had,  I think its money well spent - you can contact him on:

Welcome to the forum, we have just completed on our Penthouse apartment yesterday, so mortgages are very fresh in our minds.  Not wanting to bore you too much, but we were badly let down in the 11th hour by Barclays es, fortunately the same day as our problems started, somebody on the forum recommended a mortgage broker, who had provided them with an excellent service in a similar situation. WOW!!  What a woman, Sharon identified our needs, had an offer in principal sorted in no time at all, a deal which ticked all the boxes for us and made the process so stress free.  Sharon's knowledge of the mortgage procedures and processes for buying in Spain is amazing.  She charges a small fee for her services but it's the best money I've spent throughout the process. Hi Neil & Claire and others who might be looking for a good mortgage broker

I had an awful time getting a mortgage - badly let down by CAM - and brokers who promised much and delivered nothing but heartache.  Even brokers who were recommended to me were not able to help.
