Security

Having got the time today to scan through the threads (flu) I notice a couple of things that made me wonder about how security is managed on site (might be early days so less visible than it will be) I know cars are scanned as they enter the resort but do security 'patrol'. The concern about the dog on one thread, cars being raced on and other thread and lack of lights made me wonder how security/safety is managed at the moment. It was certainly very quiet across the resort when we were there in October. Have people seen any security moving about the development or are they just based at the gates? Is it easy to contact security?

When across in November I did see security driving a round the resort in a car between  the Jardines. There was also a Jeep but that seemed to concentrate mainly near the workers entrace behind Naranjos and outside the resort near La Isla.

When we were out the end of November we saw security driving round quite a lot in a little black and white car

Security has been stepped up this last month and they have new vehicles and staff patrolling at regular intervals now, to the point that I feel like I am being stalked at times or is it them that feel this way, they always seem to be driving up the same carpark as me  at a snails pace whenever I am doing my rounds ......quite funny at times........Living here I do feel 100% safe and Security is very visible to me, day and night they make their presence known and are very friendly and wave as they go by.  Hope that helps

It did occurr to me the last time we visited that its very quiet at night and I wondered if anyone knows what we should do if something happened (fire, intruders).  Is there a number we can call to contact security or is there a 24 hour customer services number????

Its good to read there is more visible security now, we did expect that from things the original rep said but saw nothing at all on the nights we were there in October. We didnt think there was another occupied apartment in our Jardine then and it did occurr to us 'what happens in an emergency?'. The plus side is that it was very peaceful.

Recieved this  e-mail from Parador saying that security grills can now be fitted to Jardins (some properties)

Why the sudden change of policy Is there a problem with windows ??

GOOD OLD PARADOR PROPERTIES....THEY CAN SELL GRILLS AND AWNINGS BUT  FOR THIER CLIENTS WHO PAID £500  TO JOIN THE OWNERS CLUB THEY CANNOT FULFILL THERE CONTRACT TO TAKE US TO THE LAWYER,SNAGGING,ECT

I didnt think it was advertising if you passed on info about Companies you had used.  As stated I have nothing to do with these people, do not know them personally was just trying to be helpful, as I know rejcar´s do not cost 200 euro.

Sorry should have been clearer I wasn't commenting on your posting but the Parador properties one.

If you have used them and can recommend them then to my mind that is what the forum is about.
