Venetian Blinds

Hi Jardineers,
I notice on the photo file that a Jardines owner Craig 72 #46403 on 6/11/2008 showed a photo of their window blind next to the front door.

If Craig 72 doesn't get read this, can anyone help me finding out where to buy the same & of course price

Don't know if Craig got his from IKEA, but they do them there - I have some to hang on my next visit - oh fun!! I think they are €39, for the size required to fit by the door.  Hope mine look as good as his when they are up.

Do you know what size to get and will I have cut at all?? 

We got a roller blind from Ikea and it fits exactly width wise and is actually longer than you require which is fine.  It was 39 euros.

Where is the photo - I can only see a picture of the front of the apartments on the 6th November.

The photo is he underneath that one 46403.  You say roller blind I was thinking more of Venetian blinds.  Are they the same size?

Found the picture.  I would think you could get the venetian at Ikea - they will certainly have the width but I don't know about the length.  Someone else may be able to help.

Ikea at Murcia have the wooden venetian blinds, Lindmon - I bought them at the weekend and Mark, handyman in our Jardin, put them up for me yesterday.  They have to be put in the right place on the window otherwise the window handle would stick out.  The door panel one was €39.95 but I can't remember the price of the window one tho it was cheaper.  They fit the door panel/window widths perfectly then just have to be shortened by taking out a few slats.

We did exactly the same bought the blinds form Ikea perfect fit and mark from Jardin 10 fitted them for us, did a great job.

My blinds are exactly like the one's in the photo.

thanks for the info folks, looks like we will be making trip to Ikea when we are over , Nov 18th for a week. 
I notice some owners have used Mark J10 to install, I'll have a talk to him. He notice he has a phone number, is the phone system available for us?
Hope we meet up with some you of the forum writers in the cafe etc., it will be good to chinwag & get other points of view over our apartments, can't wait!!!

Think Ikea will need to get extra stock in - I'm not being petty, ok I am, but I hope we get there first.  Thanks for all the info on the blinds everyone.  Is there anyone else apart from Mark who does these little jobs?  Craglie, like the accidental mispell with your name lol

Carol has the details of a handyman that is doing lots of odd jobs on Condado - apparently he is very good and very reasonable.  Worth speaking to Carol for the details.

I'm fine now.  Think it must have been something to do with the bubbles.

I did email Carol earlier today about a handyman but she hasn't replied yet.  Think she limits time on line cos of the dongle prob.

Can't wait to start shopping proper.  Doing it on the internet gets a bit boring after a while, but I have gained loads of info from everyone on here, so hopefully will be able to look at the numerous  lists and go staight to it.  I'm going to try and reign myself in and only go to a couple of furniture shops cos  I think you get spoiled for choice if you go to  too many.  We had more or less made up our minds about what we wanted last time we were out, and then went to look at other places and ended up changing our minds.

Carol says she uses someone by the name of Steve who is excellent at all the little jobs.  She did give me a price but I don’t want to advertise it on the open forum. Don’t know if you can receive PMs yet, but when you can I’ll let you know.

As for the directions to Ikea.  I don’t know myself but Martyn does.  If someone else doesn’t come on to tell you, I’ll find out later for you.  All I remember, is that it was a nice easy road to start, until you hit the roundabout where Ikea is.  There are quite a few stories knocking around about that. lol
