Furniture problems

Hi all
 Just wanted to have a little moan about a well known company that provide furniture PACs for VILLAs. We thought that it would be so much easier ordering everything in the UK and having it all fitted  before we arrived. However we couldnt have been more wrong!

Many items were missing - and still are 6 weeks on. The service has been apalling with many phone calls and e mails not being returned. To further infuriate me they have also lost a key that we gave them for the installation (at the time we didnt realise that Polaris kept a key for snagging!). Once again we are still waiting for new locks. 

Also the pre installation survey was never done due to lost key and some of the furniure that had been ordered was too big and we had to cancel it - and have subsequently been told that we cannot have a refund!

I would not recommend this company to anybody and I am sure there are many others out there who have had similar problems.

Having said that I did find a fantastic furniture shop  in Puerto de Mazarron called Muebles for Plumas - where we ordered a bed and it was delivered the very next day - which was even a bank holiday - very impressive! Would definately recommend this shop which even had an English woman working there so there was no language barrier, and she was so helpful.

Don't know if we're talking about the same company, but we've also had problems with a well known furniture company in the area with whom we'd purchased our beds, furniture, light fittings, curtains, bathroom fittings  and white goods.

We had arranged for everything to be installed for us arriving last month, and we were told a week before we left that everything was done. When we got there however we found that many items we'd bought and paid for were missing. They were mostly relatively small items like towel rails and toilet roll holders, but it was annoying nevertheless. 

We contacted the company right away to report the missing items. They could offer no explanation and were very apologetic, but we're still waiting on them supplying and fitting the missing items.

Sorry to hear of your disappointment with "a well known company that provide furniture PACs for VILLAs".  I know how you praised them when they wanted you to buy and it is criminal when this sort of thin happens. They charge enough for this to take away the stress of buying individually,  Isn't there anything you can do as it was their fault for not measuring up properly?

Hello all

We have also had terrible problems with this company.  They should have installed early September and with us due to come out very soon we still have no sofas, tv, lamps, curtains etc etc and yet every time you call them they say it will be done.  They say they are not in a position financially to refund and yet how can we replace these missing items.  They had full payment early August!!  I am very frustrated, however they have advised the remaining items are on the way.

Sorry to hear you have also had many problems. I am so sorry if you read my initial review and chose them from this! All I can say is lets keep on meithering them untl everything is in place. Hopefully others will read this and think twice before choosing them and learn from our mistakes!!

Hi all,

We bought our furniture from Muebles Yugar in Pt de Mazarron and they only asked us for deposit, balance can be paid when we are next out and are happy with furniture, this sound like good customer service, Anna will be getting a small token of appreciation from us as she was a delight to deal with.  We must be one of the lucky ones by the sounds of it.
