I KNOW PEOPLE HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT WINDOW SIZES ON OTHER THREADS BUT I THINK THAT IT WILL BE AN ONGOING QUESTION.
FOR A 2 BED APPT WHAT ARE THE WINDOW SIZES AND HOW MANY LIGHTS ARE NEEDED IN EACH ROOM AND THE SOLARIUM PLEASE.
GRATEFUL FOR THE INFO. BECAUSE I WANT TO TAKE THE LIGHTS WITH ME FROM B&Q.

Im thinking voiles for the bedrooms as they have shutters so they will shut out the light.
But in the livingroom im thinking about a blind of some type and maybe voiles. And also something for the window next to the door coz if the sun shines through that then the room gets so hot!!

We have fitted a wooden slat blind on the front door window, got it from Ikea only 39.95 euro, was going to put one on the lounge window but the handles for opening them stick out to far so now thinking of getting a roller blind and cutting it to fit between them and voiles for the bedrooms.

Hi all

Re lights : had ours  fitted by Ilucom (2 bed) in Aug and then spent 10 days staying the apartment shortly afterwards.  I asked Ilucom for their advice on which rooms should have single/double/treble spots, and this is what they did (which I thought was about right having spent the time there) -

Single spotlight in the hall (outside the bathroom door)
2 x singles in the bathroom (one above the sink, one in the middle of the ceiling)
2 x doubles in the lounge area (one just above the edge of the kitchen worktop, one nearer the lounge window - where the sofa sits)
1 x double in the dining area
1 x TREBLE in kitchen (I thought  a double would be fine, but Ilucom advised treble, I think they were probably right)

In the bedrooms, Ilucom capped the holes made by PW and installed 1 X double spots in the centre of each room.   If you were doing it yourself, I guess you could easily use the exisitng holes and just install 1 single in each - to give the same amount of light.

HTHs

Russ

Lindsey

It's 4.. yes 4...
- one at the top of the stairs before you get to your own gate.. then one outside your front door,  then one on the steps up to the roof terrace, then another on the terrace itself.

Cheers
Russ

Hi Russ are they recessed spotlights inside your apartment? Did you have to wait long for them to be fitted and dare I be rude and ask how much? You can PM me if its a secret!
Thanks Ruth
