Apologies - I know some of you have been here before, but......
We've been trying to contact Real Domestics without success. Their silver pack looks good and we'll probably go for it (unless you know better). Can anyone say if the price quoted on their website includes delivery and installation? The reason I ask is that I have ano quote from a furniture company, using the same goods from Real but their price is c 500 Euros more expensive, but includes delivery and installation.
Any comments, advice etc much appreciated,

Peter and Fiona

we got a quote of just over 1400 from debbie at real which included a microwave and everything fitted. She even emailed me pictures of it in a two bed apartment and the fridge freezer fitted the gap exactly with no big gap at the top to the cupboard above. I'm on a coach right now on the way home from seeing Dirty Dancing in london so I'll post the actual price when I get home. Tan

Thanks Tan - wow, dirty dancing - get you!
Sounds like we've both had a successful weekend - rugby team managed a rare win in France and the whisky is juuuuuuuuust about wearing off, in time for work tomorrow.

Hi Pete , Fiona,
We are using Real domestic and have found them to be very helpfull. You will also find them better value than a furniture pack provider. Deliver and installation cost is around 45 euros.
Tel No -  0034966764142.
Website - http://www.the-internet-pages.co.uk/europe/spain/costa-blanca/electrical/products.html     nice & simple eh !!

Regards,

Ignore the 'contact us' - it does not work. I remember having to phone for the e-mail address. Here it is.   info@rdasl.com

I have problems with a few sites that I have been using where they link one day and the next they don't or you can't get beyond the home page. Seems like if you try 'manyana' you might have better luck.

Regards,

Hi
Back home again!  The pack price which included a matching washing machine is 1449 € plus 35 € for delivery and installation of the goods. If you do not want the microwave, just deduct 90 €.  I am ordering mine this week, this was the phone number I was given 0034 966 764 142 .

Hi all,

Just to echo the other posts that Debbie and Real Domestics are very helpful and efficient. However a warning.....We ordered the Silver pack (I think it's called Le Torre pack) for our 2 bed Jardins apartment. We were over in Murcia when it was delivered last week, but out and about shopping when it actually arrived. We returned to the apartment to find the fridge freezer in the middle of the kitchen and the washing machine by the front door!! We were obviously a bit perplexed. The delivery guy had left a note saying the appliances didn't fit their gaps and that we would have to contact PW.

The problem was the casing for our fridge freezer was not square due to, in our opinion, the worktop sticking into the side of it too much, meaning it was wider at the top than the bottom. So you could just about scrape the fridge-freezer in but the delivery guy hadn't wanted to force it in and scratch it. The washing machine wouldn't go in at all as the gap was too narrow because again the wall was a bit wonky. The note suggested contacting polaris world to get the skirting tiles removed. We couldn't be bothered with that hassle as we were only there for 3 days so my husband took a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to the tiles! They came off really easily in less than 10 mins and gave us about an extra cm of width to get the appliances in - though the washing machine is a bit tight! Now they're in - you wouldn't even notice the missing tiles so it's solved, what for a while, looked like a nightmare problem.

So advice is - pack a hammer and a chisel just in case!!

Caroline

p.s. hope this hasn't put anyone off!!

Thanks to all who have responded - I've emailed Real and am waiting for a reply. I also have their tel no., if I need to speak to them.
I'll watch out for the sizes too! I'm not to be trusted with a hammer etc., so let's hope there's no call for it.
Completion - due on 7/11 - is not likely to happen because of delays with habitation certificate production. I know it's PW's fault, but they insisted on the date and we've made our arrangements accordingly but we'll presumably now have to give the solicitor POA.........................grrrrrrr.
We were really hoping to get the keys and get into the apartment on the 7th but may have to settle for pressing our noses against the windows and looking longingly inside.
I think I can hear the tell tale signs of "She who must be obeyed" uncorking the wine downstairs. Best tactics are to drink it first and THEN tell her the bad news - agreed?
See ya,

Peter

Hi Peter,

God that made me laugh lol I like that you thought about when was best to tell "she who must be obeyed" either before or after she drank the wine lol We are out on Monday the 27th and cant wait!!!!! We were only in the apt to snag so really looking forward to getting back in. Had a thought tonight and realised that we have no lights yet! not normally a problem but when you have two kids it is hehe Anyway if you do have to go the POA route just a bit of advise. When we were signing last month there were 2 couples doing POA which was organised by PW but when they got to the notary they had no details of who was to be given POA as PW hadnt informed them. As a result they were there for several hours. So I would ask PW as many questions as you can before you go.

Tamsin

ps we are in Jardin 7 too

Cheers Tamsin, glad you appreciated it!!
Her indoors has calmed down a bit and has told the Mafioso to stand down for just now - so the PW folks can sleep easy - no horses heads in the bed yet.
Our Solicitor now tells me that PW provided "contradictory" advice on Hab Certs!! So, we may yet get ours in time for the 7th Nov - fingers crossed.
If we have to, we will be giving the solicitor POA - he's been first class to date (probably scared stiff of Mrs Redcloak - tee hee!)

Hi Guys,

Just going back to the thread, does anyone know if you can get different colours for your domestic appliances?  I absolutely love Next (in UK) red toaster, cannisters and microwave set and it does look funky with the silver fridge/freezer and washing machine but so far have found no shop that offers these colours in Spain?  Any help would be great as I don't want to may the XS baggage to ship from the UK.

Regards

Kelly

Thankyou Paul, really appreciate this and I know where Dos Mares is (Yeah)!!  Trust me, you spin me around 3 times and I am lost in the UK, my husband is the same, so it is very much like the blind leading the blind when we are in Spain, so this time Ye Olde Faithful Dad is coming along to help.

Regards
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Dos Mares is on the N332 just after San Javier heading towards Torrevieja, a good drive from Condado,
there is an Eroski at Nuevo Condomina shopping centre which is just across from Ikea, I haven't used this one but should stock the same stuff.
