We completed at the end of june but they still have not finished putting things right have emailed and just keep getting same email beck allow 30 working days do they only work 2 days a week any one else had this problem

Yeah, we have exactly the same problem, completed on the 2nd of July and snagging is still not completed. In fact, some workmen who came to fix some snagging issues themselves caused some more damage.

I'm hoping that now that August is out the way things will speed up.

I am just concerned about the time scale did PW only give us 90days from us finding problems and checking them we are not going out now until the end of oct  or will be 90days from when they have sorted my new work surface

Are you using a snagging company as they should be chasing up completion of snag points for you ? I would recommend the use of a snagging company unless you are in a position to visit the site frequently.

Hi Julie,

I've just been copied on an e-mail from Polaris to Emma of our Snagging Company to say the work was completed and it's ready for 2nd inspection.

We completed about the same time as you so hopefully you should be hearing from them soon, if you haven't already.

Like Kev1 I think the use of a snagging comany seems to get things done quickly

We used snagit Murcia . They did the snsgging list & emailed photos highlighting s long list of problems both large & small within a few days of our initial contact

They then gave Polaris 30 WORKING days to get things done. A few days after that date they did a second inspection &  found a few things that they were un happy with plus two things they had missed the previous time as we had not got electricity on. during the first visit

Polaris  then completed all remaining  jobs with in a a week.

We would happy recomend snagit murcia

better to use the moeny you would spend on a snagging co. on a flight/holiday and do it yourself !

I think you're right jeb321.

We paid a lot of money for not very much. In fact in the first 5 minutes after arriving at our apartment for the first time we saw several obvious defects that weren't picked up at all at the snagging. And then the snagging repairs were signed off as being completed even though some of them hadn't been. Fortunately PW fixed them anyway, but only after we chased them up ourselves. 

The snagging company we used came highly recommended by others so maybe we were just unlucky, but like you I think it would have been better and cheaper if I'd just grabbed a cheap flight and done it myself.

yes we did it ourselves and it's really no big deal - I mean they are new build and unless you are going to get 'under the floorboards' anything that needs snagged can generally be seen by the naked eye. For example I was not happy with the kitchen worktop (it had a mark), it was noted and subsequently changed with no hassle at all,

book the flight, have a hol and enjoy the sun !

We also did the snagging ourselves in November which was rectified within the 30 days. However, once we went out at the beginning of this year to actually use the apartment, we noticed some other things which were not up to scratch, ie plug sockets coming away from the wall & broken tiles on terrace etc I made a list & emailed PW as soon as we returned home and these bits were done by the time of our next visit.

As I said earlier we used a snagging company.

The reason for this was because it is very difficult for my husband to get away .

With the job he has " Holiday time" is just that. No jobs to do , just relax and unwind.

However if you can grab the time & are not in a rush to get things done , then "doing it your self " probably is the best way.

We have no complaints though & were very please we chose that route
