Hi, we have just completed at brisas Del Mar. We had a 70% mortgage but they did not take any large amount like that. Our contents and buildings insurance were only 100 euros for a year including public liability, they have not mentioned life insurance.
Our bank Lloyds TSB Spain gave us an estimated bill for all the costs prior to completion, and it actually worked out less than then stated total cost icluding taxes and notary fees, land registry and opening commissions etc came to a total of 5,300 euros. Hope that gives you an idea of costs
