Say NO if cash machines offer to let you pay for Euros in Pounds Some Spanish banks have started to ask UK cardholders if they want to have the cost converted into Sterling when withdrawing Euros. As a general rule say NO, as the rate is often much worse than the rate you’d be given by your own plastic provider when it converts Euro withdrawals.
