We are new proud and excited owners of a property in La Matanza. Thank you so much for all the information we have gleaned from this wonderful site so far. We will be coming out for a first visit soon and have many more planned! It is good to make contact with such welcoming and helpful people. Here's to a long association!

Hi Jane and Andy,

Welcome to the site and a huge welcome to La Siete Casas.  Glad that you have found the info on the site useful.  We have met some lovely people via this site and of course at the developement.  We have found everyone very helpful and the community help each  other out as much as possible.

 Have you got your place on Phase 3 too?  We completed last September.  We love the area, the village, and looking forward to nipping over often.  We have made many new friends too,  which is a huge bonus.

As for "parcela" - this is just a grading system that the site uses for how many messages you post on the site.  Everyone starts off with a parcella - small plot of land, then builds up to attico, apartmento, finca, villa etc.

Thanks for explanation of Parcela. Makes sense now. Thought it maybe referred to a place. Lots to learn, obviously!

Not sure about phase number. Ours is Princesa Elisa. I am a bit reluctant to post too much information here. I am all too well aware of how it can be used for the wrong reasons. I have seen others talk of La Siete Casas. Saw a sign for that when we were last there. Is it the same? Or in a different location?

Hi Jane,

Yes, the developement is called Princesa Elisa.  The site is Las Siete Casas (the seven houses), in the village of Paraquiria La Matanza (parish of La Matanza - is the nearest translation of it - I think !)

The first phase  is nearest the pool, and the other two phases behind it.  There are South and North sides.  We are on phase 3 South side (so looking towards the pool and the village) although not overlooking them.  Hope that makes sense.

I fully understand you being cautious.  I didnt mean to alarm you or pry - sorry.   Anyway, like I said, we are a good friendly bunch and look out for each other.  If you need any help or advice, I am sure someone on the developement will come good.

Hi Jane,

Thanks for the PM.  So glad that you have found your hidey hole.  You have chosen a lovely spot for it.  Here's hoping you can get those hols from work to enjoy it as much as possible.

We are over in Feb, then 10 days at the end of April into May, so if you are over then pop in to see us.  Will PM the apartment number.

Like 'young' says also find a bottle of wine and beers that need finishing.  She should know she drinks most of it!!!  She wont be offended by me saying that - cos she is one of my best buddies (we met on the developement).  She's not a bad cook either - but I wont tell her that.
