NEW UPDATES ON "PRAYERS FOR BILLY"
Tuesday, May 21, 2013 @ 1:20 PM

Continuing on from my posts about Billy, click here for story & previous updates >> PRAYERS FOR BILLY <<

Wednesday 22nd May: From Angie: "Billy has had 2 really good meals today..he has even trotted round the garden with his ball in his mouth...hes still not happy to "run" anywhere yet, but I dont think he will be long..so pleased and relieved." Billy has obviously lost weight because of not eating for a week or so & he is rather weary, bless him.

Here is Billy today snuggling up with another of Angie's rescue dogs, Pickle.

Tuesday 21st May: From Angie.."Billy has eaten a good breakfast!! He licked the bowl clean!! He had his meds..looks and sounds like our Billy was before he took ill. He even ran down the drive and barked at our neighbour as she walked past with her dogs! He hasnt done that for about a month!! xx

Monday 20th May (evening): From Angie " Billy has taken all his medications, eaten another small meal, no incontinance, no crying, wagging his tail, and now laying at my side. The hospital rang this afternoon. I'm taking him back - next week I think - for a further scan, but the vet was as pleased as me with his progress. Billy must always now eat a low fat diet as he could be prone to getting it again"

***NEWS FROM ANGIE: NB: She is taking this further & so she should! ***

I am ABSOLUTELY ******* FUMING!!!!!!! I have been to have it out with my "so called" vet about the incorrect diagnosis and treatment they had been giving Billy over the past 3 weeks. Wait for this!!!!!!
The reason (according to my ex vet) is the difference in the bill from them and the bill from the hospital in Alicante.!! His bill was 200 euros...3 weeks of misery and pain for Billy and anquish and worry to us. The Alicante was more than double that, but they did a full body scan and blood work and diagnosed him CORRECTLY in under 2 hours.

You havent heard the best yet......... When I told him that I would have gladly paid HIM nearly 500 euros to get the right diagnosis and treatment instead of everything we went through, he said "quote"...."you have a lot of dogs and you cant afford to have all the necessary tests done, so we keep the cost down by doing minimal test so you can afford to pay the bill". !!! WHO THE F**K DOES HE THINK HE IS???

So in other words ..bearing in mind that my financial affairs are absolutely nothing to do with him, and he took it upon himself to make the decision that I couldnt afford the bill, he was quite happy to put my dog's life at risk, rather than do the job he is paid to do! I told him that the decision was NOT his to make and how DARE he assume that I cant pay the bill. I ALWAYS PAY MY BILL!!

I would love to name and shame this bunch of arseholes, but fear reprimand, so I'm gonna have to keep quiet, but that does NOT stop me from letting everybody on here know what I have been dealing with. I've told them I will not be back, I will not pay the outstanding amount, I would not recommend them to anybody, and I will be letting people know about this.

I asked him to refund the 50 euros I had already paid toward the bill and he refused to give it to me...why?? because he said I was dishonest with him when he asked me if I was going for a second opinion and I had replied "NO", when in fact I was on my way with Billy to Alicante hospital. WTF??? I couldnt believe what I was hearing!! He did eventually slam the 50 euros on the counter and told me to go.

And these people call themselves "VETS"

Alicante told Angie that Billy would have died if they hadn't acted when they did!
