Our Dusty Paradise
Tuesday, December 2, 2014 @ 4:38 PM

At last I've managed to finish my book about our life here in the mountains of Andalucía!  This has taken over from the Blog and been difficult to complete due to my cancer treatments, but at last it's in the public arena!  It's called Our Dusty Paradise and is available on Amazon Books and Amazon Kindle Books, at very reasonable prices.  The Kindle version has (colour) photographs too.

I hope some of you will read it and find places, people and events that you 'recognise,' even if you live outside our patch.  It might make a good Xmas present for folks back home, to encourage them to visit this lovely (if dusty!) spot.  Book number 2 is already in the making...

Hola Linda,
I have just finished reading Dusty Paradise and thoroughly enjoyed it, in fact it was one of those books that I kept saying to myself that I will just read a few pages during lunch/before going to sleep/ before doing a job but ended up reading on and on until I finished it in a couple of days.
My wife Kim and I have many parallels to you and Steve. We have a had a place in Spain for a number of years, although since settling here permanently we have moved just over the border to Portugal. We are bikers and in fact ,have just returned from a road trip that took in Granada and we love walking and hiking. We are not as hardy as you guys though and prefer a hotel bed to a sleeping mat. Maybe we could rent your granario sometime and explore a few roads and paths in Las Alpujjaras? I fell as though I know you and Steve now, so it would be nice to actually meet you guys in the flesh.
Keep well,
Andy
