I am buying a property in Spain and don't have my original NIE doc (I have been told that you can't use copys of the doc when buying you must have the original document) - Do I have to get the new doc from Spain or can I apply for one any where in the UK?

Hi, if you live near any of the Spanish consul's you can apply at one of these. We got ours via the consul in Manchester and it didn't cost us anything!
