what can you do if your company defaults on redundancy payments

Hello does any one know what if anything you can do if when made redundant and told your redundancy will be paid over 6 months but then after 4 they dont pay it can you do anything or what, please if anyone knows please advice.

Denounce them. This is illegal. Get advice from Hacienda as well.

Are the payments in writing somewhere

i gave signed agreement to pay over 6 months but i do not want cause trouble for staff left as the company is skint. is there any way goverment will pay it.

No idea! If you were on contract then you claim but there are procedures to go through and if you had a private agreement you may not be able to claim anything. You really need to take advise and there are tribunals that can help

i was on idefinate contract and because of copany problems they were alowed to pay monthly redundancy, i claim unemployement now but dont know who to see with this

Sorry Estaban

After I posted I realised I should have asked if you were in UK or Spain and couldn't edit it. It is in UK, maybe someone knows the equivalent to ACAS in Spain. Here in UK they are very good with advice on redundancies, contracts and other tribunal issues and offer unbiased advice. Have a lok on the ACAS website and see if there is any info regarding overseas, they may be able to point you in te right direction.

Good Luck, hope you get it sorted. It's bad enough being made redundant but you could do without that too.
