The CIS is made up of nine formerly Soviet states. They occupy the largest and wealthiest block of global nations. The fear running through the Baltic States is that EU sanctions and U.S. provocations could damage incoming CIS investment. The impact would ripple across Europe. Spain would not be unaffected.
