Hello to you all
well last week we finaly moved in having completed in January. The site has changed in the last three months. More grass has been laid, pools were clean and some were filled, the main entrance is nearly finished, and supermrket open. The three days I was there it was busy with people building and gardening. They constantly were watering the grass. It seems they drain the lake to do this, then refill it asap.
Our furniture was all delievered on time and was constructed by the men which is a great help. The only hic cup was from Polaris homestyle who sent the wrong colour chairs and no mirror and coffee table!!! They sent them with apologies the next day, and the chairs will arrive in three weeks.We did get a 150 euro voucher to say sorry.
Our snagging and final clean was great ,except for a bit more painting on the balcony which Polaris agreed to do asap. All fixtures etc are working. My dad is out there now for 3 months so It helps having someone there full time now.
We are getting some lovely terrace furniture from Polaris garden centre. As we are not renting it out we want to buy furniture that we really like and will not have to change in the future.
We had the Polaris tv and internet put in on Friday which so far we are very pleased with. Our tv we bought for a good price from the electrical shop in Sucina. Lights we got from San Javier, there is a light shop on the seame side as DFS furniture. We used one of our deliviery men Mark to install the lights at 7 euros a light and he also hung mirrors, and also changed my dad mobile he bought from Dos Mares from spanish to english. Very helpful guy and worth using if anyone wants his number let me know.
I am flying back tommorrow Sunday and returning Tuesday evening. The weather i left ther on Wednesday was 27 degrees!!! Stansted was 9 degees and torrential rain on my return!
We took a car to leave out there.I drove to Plymouth from Essex on Sunday, got the Ferry to Santander at 4 pm. We arrived in at 12;30 pm Spanish time on Monday. I then drove six hundred miles to arrive by late evening. The drive was so easy as the roads out there put our to shame and are empty most of the way. It was great to see the country, and i think the only way to find all these things we keep asking questions about is to drive and go on an adventure from the resort.
