Just wondered if anyone knew anything about Calidonia's third resort, Ballabona Golf & Country Club, Almeria. Seems all traces of it have been dropped from their web site yet it was going to be their largest by far.

Hi Anita,
This is a mystery, I searched alot of sites and when I got the ballabona page up it was just the logo with in construction on it. Is this something we need to be concerned about? Are the funds running a bit scarce? I'm getting a little worried about things in general, might be no harm to ask what the story is. One site said they were launching in May. I think we all could do with a little reassurance right about now. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi all.
I expect that with the "worldwide recession" and "credit crunch" as well as the Pound to Euro exchange rate being at its most dismal ever could be some of the reasons that Calidona are holding back with the next development. If this is the case then at least they will be more likely to concentrate on Corvera, which can only be good news for us. I've heard that Polaris world are starting to rent their properties out because they can't sell them.

Thanks for the info ( and welcome to the forum), the economic outlook appears somewhat gloomy especially for the investors ( such as my self), it may help explain why there appears to be no activity on Calidona's third project. They may well be waiting for an improvement in economic conditions.

It would be quite neat if there were no more new builds at all. This slump is going to get a hell of a lot worse before it gets better!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, it would help if Calidona concentrated on their two current builds, and also it would help reduce the oversupply of apartments in the area. Hopefully there will be a big reduction in other new builds, and the supply and demand situation will improve, it would be nice to have the option to sell the apartment at a reasonable price within a reasonable time frame at some point.
