My name is Lorraine and my husband is Eoin we have two children age 9 and 3 we bought don juan  block 5 ground floor last month. We are going to use it as a holiday home for ourselves, we are not going to rent it out as its too nice to get wrecked.

Like yourself we were very impressed with the appartment and the views, We decided to buy there as my best friend lives in los Boliches for 12 years she is a radio presenter over there 106.2 Leah Dunne very good listening.

I am David, my wife Vangy and I bought a middle subbasement appt in block 6 in September. Our children are Julie 24 Gary 22 and Neil 18. We have no plans to rent our appt out either. We are looking forward to lots of trips to spain hopping on the train at the airport with no baggage and and getting off with just a short walk to our appt. We bought in DJ because it ticked every box on our list and some more: close to the coast and the airport big enough terrace for a BBQ 2 bedrooms and under €250,000.  The sea views  and convenient train  were  welcome bonuses.
We are looking forward to meeting everyone as well 

Pete and I bought our apartment in August. We are in a corner garden plot in Block 10. We have a 15 year old daughter and 2 boys 13, and 10 so the 3 bedroom was really the only option for us if we wanted to keep our sanity!

Much as we'd like to keep it just for us we are going to have to rent out to help with the mortgage, at least for the first couple of years. The third bedroom will allow us to keep all our personal stuff seperate (we intend to secure it and just rent out as a 2 bed).

Like you David, it ticked all the boxes for us and the convenience of the train was a huge bonus. Not having to rely on hiring a car is a big plus especially if only staying over for a short break.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone, I already feel like I belong!

Hi I am Raj and together with my wife Ras we bought an apartmemt in block 3 (semi sotano C) back in March 2003 when there was absolutely nothing on the site. Originally our intention was to buy for investment and sell on prior to completion but we have now decided to move to Spain and stay in Don Juan once it is completed.

Hi "new neighbours",

We my wife (Ann), my daughter (Amalie - age 12) and I (Lars), are a Danish family, that bought an apartement in DJ II block 1 2nd floor (Spanish 1st floor????) corner araptement. We expect to use the apartement without renting it out (maybe to be used by family and frinds) until we eventually move to Spain our selves.

I am Janice and my husband is Graham. We have three children Paul 25, Jayne 23 & John 20. We have two apartments Phase 1 block 3 2bed & Phase 2 Block2 3bed. When we bought in Pahse two we were given an earlier 07 completion date then were told it would not be finished until nearer 08 or later, so we bought in Phase 1 which should have been finished in July.We have not decided what we are doing with the apartments but intend to keep one for our personal use or close friends and either sell or rent the second. We are really looking forward to setting up the apartment and getting to know everyone. If the community continues as it has on this website it should be a wonderful place to be.

I (Donna) and my hubby John, bought in DJ phase 1, last Oct block 10 1st floor with round balcony!!. We have one son aged 18 Ryan. We intend to use our apartment as a holiday home only, Our family members have informed us that they wish to use it, but we havent made our mind up yet!!! (just joking!!!). Dont think we intend on moving there, but maybe spend a few winter months there each year. Looking forward to meeting our new neighbours, I hope you all like to socialise and the odd drop of vino!!!

I am Pearce and my wife is Marie. We have a little boy Ciaran who will be 3 at Christmas. We bought back in 2003 when it was just a green hill. We both work in London. I am a London black taxi driver, but also do bricklaying, carpentry and child minding. so as you can see I look forward to having a break when I get to stay in Don Juan. My wife works in Canary Wharf. We bought in Phase 1, Block 1, semisonato (garden ground floor ) level, a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. We plan on renting it out at first and then maybe moving over. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Thanks for all the pictures they were great. I have not being over since September when we bought our appartment. There dose not seem to be much work done since except for all the ugly green fences. I think that they have ruined the look of the place.

Hi everyone

We are Chris and Maureen from the West Midlands and we have bought an apartment in Phase 1 Block1 third floor.  We are going to club la costa at Christmas for a week as the apartments are not ready yet ( we were told Oct 06 ) never mind we will try to get some good photos while we are there and find out some info. Is anyone else going out there for Christmas - perhaps we could meet up.We would like to have air con fitted ( cos I think we will need it ) and wondered if it was possible to be done before the developers move off site ? The attico in the recent photo looks like it has definately had it fitted.. Or would we do it as a group for each block. Has anyone asked whats possible ? We would appreciate some feedback

Gay and JB here from Offaly, Ireland.  We have bought in Block 1, Phase 1, Semisotano and hope to use our apartment as a peaceful holiday "retreat". We have 2 daughters & 1 son, with two still in college and the other in "gainful employment".
