Barbeques-a possible answer!

Could anyone advise me the best form of security for my apt.  I will be spending 5 weeks of the summer holidays at my apt and I am not sure whether to go for grills or shutters.  I believe apts with the double glazing in the utility area are still being broken into.

Any advice would be welcome.

Steve Garrott from Paintbusters posted info about security, I think around December or January. He's an ex-policeman. If you can find his post, I recall that it was quite useful. He can do shutters / utility enclosures for you. I think it depends what floor you are on as well.

Regarding your question, I have installed approximatly 70 sets of electronic shutters on the CDS site, at present to the best of my knowledge, NOBODY has gained access to ANY apartment via electric shutters that I have installed, there has been some attempts but to no avail as they are motorised, I admit one set has been damaged but the apartment was still not accessed, and they were repaired immediately, of course a fee was incurred.

Window and Patio door bars are popping up over the CDS site and are coming in various colours and designs, it is up to Presidents to keep the Urbanisation into some sort uniformity.

I would suggest you also consider installing window locks as this seems to be the only point of entry for the burgulars, especially via the bedroom windows.

hi  many of you people have now had our mate john jones to do this that and the other for you but the final thing he has done for us is the fly screens and the bars around the back window that we have security window around already, also folding bars around  the patio door which already has roller blinds around it. Is there anything else that we can do? Julie is now being asked to do change overs for people. I told her she should do this as she is honest and reliable. She's thinking about it now and I would be happy for her to this for us as I know her and John obviously.  Anyone else interested contact their website please at info@jjdevelopment.eu
