Over Christmas there was considerable flooding in the garage areas of block 28 and 29, the water reached 6ft! A thick layer of mud was left after the water subsided. If anyone has any belonging in storage area they will obviously be damaged. There was one car in block 29 and three in block 28. Ammex has arranged for cleaning out of the mud in the communal areas but they told us that owners are responsible for storage areas and will need to claim on their own insurance.
These garages flooded last year but only by a couple of inches, it seems that the water is not draining well enough when the rain is excessive. The builders told us last year that they would repair but obviously it hasn't been done. We will be following this up with Ammex.
I was told that other garage areas were effected too but I don't know which ones, it would be worth asking management companies to check or contact Ammex directly.
