Has anybody heard that some low cost airlines may be pulling out of Granada ie, Vueling,Ryan air because Granada City Halls have taken 15% subsidy of the airlines.

I have not heard this. In fact my tour operator who I only ever deal with because she just seems to know everything told me British Airways were starting flying to Granada at the end of April - I have not had this verified thus far.

Having just travelled back from Spain on Friday 14th March 2008, on Ryanair, I can say the plane was packed going out and coming back. I wouldn't think Ryanair would want to pull out of what seems to be a popular route?? Having a property at Medina Elvira 23, near to Granada, I certainly hope they don't, and hope BA join in!

Great to hear that British Airways may be flying into Granada,I to have an appartment on Medina Elvira (Fairways)so was a bit worried about Ryanair Pulling out but as you say if it is that busy I cant see them pulling out.

Im due to go out in May to see how things are,How far off completion is Medina 23 are things as you expected,My appartment is due for completion late this year but am hearing different stories as to when it will be ready.

Well Medina Elvira 23 is looking near to completion. I would say into April now, and for Phase one outside ground works to be completed at least another month after that. Fairways, which is being built infront of Medina Elvira 23 (on the hill overlooking the Golf Course?) looked like it was well off completion but late this year could be a possibility? I have photos from last week and I can try and post them here later this evening. I believe I have a few that capture Fairways. I will also chase up my Travel Agent and find out about that.
