Just posted some photos of our visit to site on the 24th January.

We met Eli from Rudina who took us around the site and showed us our penthouse. We have included some photos inside our apartment as well as pictures entering the car park and showing the store rooms which were much larger than we thought. The pool is also progressing well as you can see. We have also posted a picture showing the roof terrance to the commercial centre. We also met Pepe (the boss at Rudina) who was meeting the landscape people.  We were told to expect completion by September and that water would be in the pool by the time of our next visit in June. The quality of work and finish looks very good.

We have a few answers to some of the other questions posted. The apartments do not have any fitted wardrobes but the show apartment has wardrobes supplied by a local guy - Eli has the details. Also, the base unit and cubboards in the bathroom are extra - the sink will just have a pedestal.

The development on the town house site next door is progressing (you can see it from some of our photos). Eli said she thinks that they are just putting in the roads etc at the moment  as she does not think they have the building notice in place.

We have posted a few pictures taken when we went to the Seirra Nevada Resort - FANTASTIC.

If anyone has any questions or need to see anymore photos just ask.

Thanks for the info

What was parking like at sierra nevada. We haven't been up to the resort during the skiing season. Was there any snow on roads?.

Was there any news on the remainder of the development commencement dates etc. Or the progress of the access road.

Woodycurtain.

Hi,

Been up to the ski resort twice, there was much more snow last time we went (Feb 2006). All the roads were clear but the resort was closed for parking on site and you had to walk in. There was a bit less snow this time but all the runs were open and parking in the resort underground parking was ok.

When we asked about the new access road we were told it was dependant on the progress of the other Rudina development on the hillside (which has started and can be seen on their website). There was no date planned for the other phase of our development but we were reassured that the vacant land would be cleared and landscaped so we would not be living on a building site.

Cheers

Hi, jb, woody,mm and everybody,

Just got back too.  Most questions already answered, but when we enquired about your grills, Woody, we were told that you could change them to the outside or any other way you thought suitable, but any changes would have to be agreed by the community committee when it's appointed.  Not much help, I'm afraid.  We were given a time factor of about two years for the access road and as no plans have yet been submitted for Phase Two, probably about the same time for that!  We were told that completion is likely to be September and up to two months after that for the licence to be passed.

A few other points of information, speaking for apartment dwellers - sorry Woody - and penthouses in particular.

The solarium is wired for three lights, an electric plug, we think possibly for an ac unit, and has a tap.  You will also need three more outside lights, two for the balcony and one for the entrance area.  The bathroom is basic, with a pedestal sink and no shower screen fitted.  If I can master the technicalities, I'll download a picture of the show apartment bathroom, which according to Eli on site, is 1000 euros including another free standing cabinet not shown, but no plumbing!!  We believe there is also a cheaper alternative available which I can e-mail a picture to anyone of if you contact me privately.

We're aiming to go back in June and have a contact in the area of someone who does fitted bedrooms, so if we can arrange to meet him then, we'll get back to you all if he seems useful, and reasonable priced!

All for now I think, but if there's anything else anyone thinks we may have asked, let us know.

Regards

Cath and Phil
