About a month ago we were asked to vote on who was to look after the common areas/swimming pools etc. Haven't heard anything since. Does anyone know which company/person was elected?

I am not sure but has far as i am aware no one has been elected yet .

im back out there the end of the month so can find out more then , but i no freinds of ours that live there said that a contractor has bought at least 60 of the houses so they were not sure how we stood with getting the comitee up and running, because of the amount of empty properties,

They want to get it up and running as soon as possable so that the swimming pools will be ready for next year .

i do no that they and a few of the other tenants had voted for the cheaper of the two but i can not comment on this because we never even recevied any of the spoken paperwork !

When i no more i will let you no .

My name is John Bryant, I think you all should be aware the Condo rules are controlled by the civil code of Spain, the new condo must hold a formal meeting with a set % of owners reprsented. The committee will require a President, treasurer and Sec.

The rules must be put in place and budgets agreed.

I have experience of being a President of a new condo in Mexico, and no I do not want the job, but can hel p with info.

I am afraid to tell you that without the correct rules and structure this condo will not me legal as far as the civil law.

Also it may be of interest that the bylaws must be registered in the public record office and signed by a Notary before you can form a condo as far as bank accounts etc.

Previous bylaws held ran to over 100! Why, well when you live in a mixed national condo you will find the need to cover all problems from the start.

I expect the proposed budget etc to be no more than a document from the promoter to get rid of the issue to the owners.

This meeting is the most important thing you will need to sort out.

Regards John
