hello everyone,

in the long run is there going to be any better then santa ana around the area at the price these properties are being sold for i think most people were drawn to the beautiful surroundings and the overall plan for santa ana, yes the time scale seems to be getting bigger but will it be worth it in the long run i think so , if the golf courses are up to scratch it will be a great pull for residents and investors we have bought two apartments to sell on as well as a villa where we are hoping to come and live at, i went to a polaris world resort la torre and was not impressed the course wasn,t to bad but the properties were very small for the price and all much of the same and these have been plugged on tv by the golden bear jack im pleased i did not buy there i think by waiting a little longer we will benifit in the long run my villa is supposed to be complete in autumn 2009 but i will have to wait a little longer

I agree.  We visited lots of developments in October 2004 but bottled out of buying anything.  A year later our agent telephoned us and said he had found just the place for us.  He was right.  He took us to SADM and we fell in love with the surroundings and the town of Jumilla straight away.  We put our life savings into the deposit on an Azucena and intend to move to SADM in around 4 - 5 years when our daughter has left home.  The time scale does seem to have gone haywire but we dont really mind how long it takes to complete our house (so long as it is within 5 years!!!).  The size of the properties is good compared to other developments on the Costas and the price is exceptional.  If you don't mind a wait I would stick with SADM as most of the houses are good value for money.

John and I had been on many viewing trips before we discovered SADM, including the Costa del Sol (though we told them we didn't have that sort of money!), Almeria and the Costa Blanca.  We found some good properties but not the right location, or we liked the location but hated the properties!  One agent suggested giving marks out of 10 to every place we saw and SADM was the first place to get full marks.  We are buying an Azucena for a price that would get us a small apartment on the costas, and on top of that we loved Jumilla and Santa Ana.  I agree with Jane that the houses are more spacious

We met the parents of some running club friends last year .  Les and Alice live in northern Costa Blanca and Les is very into financial matters.  He studied the plans, looked at the photos etc, asked us some searching questions and then told us we would have to pay twice the money we're paying to buy something similar on the coast.

We plan to move there permanently in May 2009,  however we're hoping our house will be ready before then so we can have a few holidays before we move.

We are more than happy with our decision - just keeping our fingers crossed that things go reasonably smoothly and don't take too long!

Sue

I agree Sue,

After looking at so many properties in so many different areas all the properties seem to merge into a blur.  It's only when you realise that it's what you see when you walk out the door or look out the window that's more important.

I know when we stood on one of the roof terraces in Jumilla and looked in each direction and saw the hills and mountains that it dawned on us that this is what we had been looking for.  The property became somewhat secondary.  All we then needed is a nice place to live in comfortably in the future.  Combine this with San Jose's unique style of building and good value, this was by far the best combination of location and building we had seen.  Plus the added bonus being Jumilla town only 5 minutes away.

We have kept our feet on the ground by staying aware of current developments and sometimes put a pessimistic slant on things so we are not too disapointed if it didn't come off, but at the same time like you we have our fingers and toes crossed that all goes to plan.

Steve.
