What happens when it all goes wrong?

i understand a marbella lawyer is acting on behalf of interlaken. i think one of the purchasers is claiming against them.

i wondered if anyone could shed light on this.

Perhaps you can give us an idea of the court case you refer to?  I would be surprised if there is just one owner taking a case!  The recent minutes suggest that there have been a number of settlements in favour of purchasers.

i emailed therights group about a particular matter, i learnt in a roundabout way that interlaken were using a marbella solicitor to fight a court action, and i was led to believe it was an individual claiming against them but iam not sure on what basis, i started the thread to see if anyone else could shed any light on it.

i personally think we should concentrate our efforts on turning the development into one we can enjoy, and think we have to be positive, i applaud the efforts of ianmack and others who are trying to deal with ammex, and notice the expenditure on pm1.most money should be spent on gardens, they seem to have items totally out of proportion. it would be nice to know how many units per pm there are so costs can be worked out pro rata.

Many people completed their purchases in CDS knowing that they were deceived by Interlaken.  There seemed to be a consensus on this forum that there was nothing that could be done as the contracts were 'watertight'.  I know of many that didn't accept this view and have gone and done something about it.  Some have refused to complete and are now taking cases against Interlaken.  Even though there are no guarantees, I feel that they may well be rewarded with at least some degree of compensation.  I really do wish them the best and hopefully fortune favours the brave.  Many locally based solicitors are very reluctant to take on developers and this may be reflected in the advice they gave their clients on this matter.  Recently I have noticed a softening in people views with many now saying that perhaps Interlaken do have a case to answer in terms of what they promised versus what they delivered and that this case could be won by the purchasers.    

 

 

  Am i the only one who completed,  then went over a saw what a complete ,mess they had made of this developement? I bought into this developement thinking i was getting some class, in a fine position. The reality is the complete oppersite.

Coming from what can now be considered a 3rd world coun try , i shouldnt have been shocked or disapointed, but i was on all accounts.

 After spending  a week there with my elderly parents, i achieved just about nothing in terms of getting faults put right, the staff there just didnt care, full stop!!

  The only plus for us, was meeting some nice friendly people who had also bought , but it has to be said every one was of the same opinion., we exspected a 'Dream Holiday Home'

   Angry sums up my feelings, ive been done! This is not what i was promised .
