Is it true that you have to fit all of the above as the properties are just left with the wiring hanging out of the walls and ceilings? If so can you recomend the best place to buy all the electrics etc?

Hi

Our agent took us to Expert TorreHogar Linea in Torrevieja last October.  It was on Ramón Gallud 139.  Telephone 96 571 07 30.

They also took us to MásQueMuebles (MQM) on the Torrevieja-Cartagena road KM4.7, Urbanización Rocio del Mar.  Telephone 96 571 53 23.  I think they were going to move to other premises near to the Carrefour roundabout on the road out to Crevillente 1Km.

I remember one having a much bigger range of light fittings to choose from - probably TorreHogar.

I have also read recommendations on EOS for InsideRightEspaña in Balsicas.  insiderightespana.com - they are at the Balsicas turn near the Torre Alcantara Taray site & you take the turn towards Roldan from the roundabout & they are on the industrial estate on the right.

Something has just occured to me ... Looking at photos, it looks as though all the exterior lights are the same.  Are these fitted by the builder?

Hope this is helpful.

Diane

Hi Diane & Joe

Yes all the outside lights are fitted by the builder.

Inside Right fitted all our fan lights & they are excellent & will be a god send in the warmer weather!! They also fitted downlighters in the bathrooms etc & spot lights in the kitchen. (They will email pictures of lights, furniture etc - Manager is called Gareth Woods & he couldn't be more helpful!) We bought other lights from a lighting shop on the same trading esate at Balsicas & also from a shop on the road into San Javier on the right hand side by the roundabout - very helpful, Spanish, but trying very hard to learn English.

There is a guy called Ian on the site that can fit lights, curtain rails etc - if anyone wants his number let us know.

As you say Rosita, a lot of English shops could learn a lot of lessons from the Spanish!! All our deliveries have been on time on the right day & we can't fault anyone that has done any work for us.

We have now had Sky fitted & the guy was so nice, did a good clean job & even phoned in the evening to check that we were happy with it - in fact it is a better picture than on our UK system.

Best Wishes Sue & David

P.S Changing the subject - the Indian restaurant near to Inside Right is also very good & they also do a take away service!

Hi David

Thanks for confirming that the exterior lights are fitted by the builder.  One less thing to think about buying and one more to add to the things to check on the snagging list!

For the interior lights, does nobody just fit a ceiling rose and use a bulb and lampshade?  I think that's what I saw in the bedrooms in one of the show homes.  With all the initial expense of furniture, security etc that would at least be a safe and relatively cheap way to start with the lights.

Hi again Diane

There is a guy called Ian who lives on the site that has done some electrical work for us, if you want his number I will send by private email then you could give him a ring or call around & see him next time you are over, he may be able to do this for you.

Best Wishes Sue
