Hi All, well the AGM's have happened now and we are still none the wiser !  As i understand it the Golf Course is likely to remain closed until Mr Rizo concludes a sale, the Club House may open again soon (it may have already done so ?) and the new Corvera Airport may open late this year but Spring 2016 is more likely. What i don't understand is why the banks who own the properties in each of the Communities are not making legal moves to force Mr Rizo to sell the Golf Course, either to a consortium of the bank or to another Investor / Golf Course Operator ? Mr Rizo is presumably holding onto this asset until the Airport Opens so he will get a better price, but for the Banks and Individual Property Owners we want the Golf Course sold now so it can be restored and re-opened, after all we bought properties on a Golf Course, not properties around an overgrown meadow ! Can someone tell us if the banks have made any sort of statement about buying the Golf Course or whether Housing or the Community  / Entity Presidents are leading the way in starting legal proceeedings again Mr Rizo to force a sale to an organisition who will restore and re-open it ? Any News will be gratefully received by all owners !

Really as the summary advises, after the AGM's very little has changed at Corvera, since the AGM's only that the rumour mill is working overtime but NOTHING is confirmed

Both the golf couse and club house are still closed, there were plans to open the club house for Easter but it didn't happen

There is NO information flow from the communities, Presidents etc because quite simply they don't know anything definate

The legal action against the developers is frankly going nowhere fast and tgis is the fault of the system in Spain but the communities, pools, gardens and sport facilities tennis etc, all remain open and well maintained

There won't be any news on the airport till after the local elections in May, the existimg operator is still in place and not going anywhere till they get paid for the works that they have already completed, stale mate

With this resort and history there is no point in repeating rumours

Hi All, thanks for that post Roy, well the main thing i suspect all the owners want to know is why are the banks not forcing the sale of the Golf Course ? Yes Corvera Golf & Country Club is a nice development in a pretty location, but it's not a 'Golf & Country Club' without the Golf Course and Clubhouse ! Is there any evidence that the banks have even got together and are working in a co-ordinated manner rather than individually ? All the owners have been extremely patient so far, but maybe it's time to push the banks and housing, if all the current owners send emails or make phone calls to the bank that provided finance to their community on CG&CC and to Housing SL then at least they will know the strength of our opinions ? Nothing will happen for sure if we all sit on our hands.

When over a few weeks back - strong rumour was the course was sold and work was about to start on restoring the greens & fairways. Does anyone know if there has been any signs of activity in the last couple of weeks

At corvera at the moment, nothing happening regarding the golf course at the moment, club house also closed, gardens and pools being maintained, hopefully things may improve in the coming months

Jst heard that the club house re-opens on the 1st June but no news on the golf course

Hi Rainnedayz, Thanks for that, did the Clubhouse open as planned ? By the way do you know if the Clubhouse has a website or whether there is anywhere online we can see Opening Times, Menu, etc ?

The openning hours are 10 -16.00   and then 19.00 till 24.00

Hi Al, just registered on site as would like some advise.  I am looking to buy an apartment on Corvera golf & country and after reading a lot of this community stuff not sure if it is a good idea or not, can anyone assist.  Would also like to know what the community/ maintenance fees are yearly

As with many of these resorts where facilities are closed or limited the property prices are very low but the levels cmmunity charges can depend on the phase on which you are buying and the percentage of properties that are owned by the banks, where they pay the fees

As already stated on here on Corvera the course is closed and overun, the club house and restaurant has just reopenned for the Summer,  but the pools and communty gardens are in excellent condition as these are maintained by each individual community along with clean streets, rubblish collection and security

Corvera Golf is really in limbo waiting for the airport and news of when somebody will buy the golf course

We do have an owner looking to sell a fully furnished 2 bed Laurel penthouse apartment for €55k which is excellent value and if and when the airport opens yiu cam expect prices to increase and a surge in rental requirements from local workers

I too am looking at purchasing in this area within the next 3 months and have been attracted to Corvera due to the reasonable prices BUT when I contacted one agent to enquire about a property they told me about the golf course which is fine as we are not golfers but they also said the pools were green and the site run down. Was just wondering what is the state of the pools on the resort. Thanks again

Hi

i have been told by a few people visiting there recently that the pools are now clean and the gardens tdy, I have been getting varying information about the apartments, what is in them U.S. ac or not, shower screens not etc and also the community charges per month are varying all of the time

Just for absolute clarity form somebody who is on Corvera Golf every day there are NO green pools, all of the facilities that are paind for by the owners are still in place and maintained which inlcudes the lifts, pools gardens, the streets are swept weekly, the rubbish is collected, the lifts work and there is security, the pools have ALWATS been clean and recently passed an inspection from the local Town Hall, happy to send photos

Some communitues have even improved their area by adding artifical grass and increasing the seating area

On the propertues if you buy a properrt from the bank they are bought as seen and only include a boiler, a hob,, and over and fitted kitchen and wardrobes, everything else is extra, including lights, shower screens and air conditioning with prices starting at €45k for  2 bedroom Laurel on phase M28

There are some resales, fully  furnished and ready to go, we have a 2 bedroom penthouse with a large roof terrace for €55k on M19 and a 3 bed Tilo for €84k

The community fees vary by type, size and location of property, typically you will pay around €1200 a year comminity plus €300 a year for the local rates, IBI

The golf course is closed and there is no idea if and when it will reopen but the club house will be open for the Summer

There are llts of local bargains around for example on The Polaris site Las Terrazes Del La Torre the bank have just release 400 apartments with prices starting at €41k

If an agent is telling you that the pools are green and the site run down, change your agent, clearly he wants to sell you something else and please contact me directly if you need more information
