Best mobile for use on TLDLT?

Hi

I've been having a look for a cheap, calls only, mobile tariff for use when we are out there. As it will just be calls/text I think a basic payg sim deal would be best. I had a look a carrefour mobile, but the coverage map I found shows no signal. 

​So any suggestions please?

I've had a Vodafone payg sim for about 3 years now,  good signal and you get free extras like minutes when you top up,  my neighbour has orange which also has good signal. 

​If by any chance you are on 3 in the UK (I am) from April 1 there are including Spain in its feel at home destinations which allows you to use your phone as if you were back at home, I get unlimited everything so I can call,  text, Internet while out there for nothing.

Thanks Richard that helps as the Carrefour mobile uses orange so should be OK. By chance my mobile is on 3, which will be great, but I thought local shops/delivery/security might be reluctant to contact us via a UK mobile number. Hence a Spanish sourced mobile.

That's why I got myself a dual sim phone, I can use the 3 sim to call, Internet ect, then the Vodafone sim has the data switched of allowing me to receive/make calls to Spanish numbers  but without the data cost a small top up will last for months.
