Having owned a property on Camposol for a few years and considered all the Community Groups and Residents Associations I just wonder if they are a worth it .Yes they do a reasonable job but the CRA for example have been in existance for years but can count achievements that are "at best" very limited . It seems meeting after meeting with town halls and mayors who promise the earth but deliver nothing. The company who left Camposols infrastructure partly unfinished (MASA) got clean away with it and yet I believe they still trade as a developer in Spain. I cant understand why ! The are cowboy Builders on a big scale. All Camposol residents should just refuse to pay Council Tax so Mazarron Council might take more notice. They were after all the Planners with control over the infrastructure ( MASA Security bonds worth millions) and no doubt managed a CAMPOSOL AREA PLAN to complete landscaping. They( MASA) left a few areas of Camposol incomplete.
The two Commercial Centers are full of nice bars and restuarants, supermarkets and shops with eager businesses trading well but the surrounding streets are a letdown and I wonder if this would happen if the development wasnt mainly purchased by ex pat British .It seems the attitude is You moved to Spain so deal with it !! . Having said all that, if you can live with these minor irritations Camposol has a hell of a lot to offer and a great community spirit. Perfect for retirement lovely climate near the beaches with everything on-tap.
What a shame.. a place with such obvious wonderfull potential in a lovely setting should be allowed to be spoilt like it is.
This issue has a knock on effect of devaluing some fantastic houses. Camposol has approx 5000 houses and an estimated 3500 with private swimming pools , Still people are purchasing and Estate Agents are busy because those looking to buy know they can realise a dream to retire in this lovely part of the Costa Calida at a really great price.
The Spanish Regional Councils have built miles and miles of totally underutilised motorways all over the area of Murcia and left this place, one of the largest urbanisation in Murcia unfinished. Why ??
Lets hope the same Government are JUST AS GENEROUS with funds to back Paramount Park at Alhama de Murcia . Yes get this project under way. Corvera Airport will add to easy access so linking all this together Camposol and Condado and Murcia Region will flurish.
