Noisy Holiday Rentals

We have one neighbour whose house is rented out to different holiday makers virtually every week.

Our peace and quiet is spoiled by screaming kids all day long with drunken parents joining in as the night progresses.

We have asked him to advise his tenants not to make so much noise but to no avail.

We know this is an illegal let, is there any pressure we can exert to get this situation under control. All we are asking is a bit of respect, we live here all year round, he never does.

Given that you had no responce from the owner I would go and visit the renters (ignore the owner) . Its difficult though, as the holiday makers have paid out good money and want to enjoy themselves. They are entitled to let the kids play outside and lets face it they are on holiday too. 

When you get a new group arriving, make friends with them, introduce yourself .

As a resident you are lucky to have good weather all year in Camposol so to holiday makers coming from rain soaked Europe  its a novalty.  If they keep you up late with excessive noise then return the favour. Go the China Store buy a noisy pressure hose and a strimmer and use them at 6 am in the morning....... They will soon get the message and you will have lovely clean tiles.

Thank you for your input but this is Camposol, it is a residencial estate, not a holiday camp.

These people keep coming and the whole street plus neighboring streets are fed up. You can't approach these people with out getting told to f... off. I think next stop must be the Town Hall and the Guardia, who I have been told can instantly evict them as they are not in possesion of the necessary paperwork.

Tiberon,Camposol consists of over 6000 houses and as far as im aware from the CRA ( Camposol Residents Association) figures about 3000 are full time residents, most of them british but many of them grumpy gitts. The other 3000 are presumably HOLIDAY HOMES in the sun where, yes, youve guessed it people will come for Holidays.  So its a mixture of residential and holiday property . You are assuming a lot to just decide that they are illegal. Stop lots of your neighbours and ask each one if they follow the 6 month rule on residents stay. Is the UK Reg car sitting on the drive all year legal etc etc ????. Opening up a can of worms dont you think . Like most GOLF RESORTS in Murcia you can expect to get holiday makers and property being let.  Without that the place would be dead and business would close . You need to look for a finca in the campo with no neighbours for 200 meters.

I guess you just purchased in the wrong place .  But I do hope you can sort it without resorting to the police otherwise they might start checking your sector to see what else is illegal.

Like all of my neighbours I am resident, nobody has any English reg cars and we all pay our taxes except for the bloke who lets his house out. There are several other houses that regularly get let to holidaymakers but we never hear anything from them, its only this one house.

The other thing we all have in common is that we want our peace and quiet respected, is that too much to ask. The old boy next door needs to have an afternoon nap, we all respect that and between 2 & 5pm we all stay indoors and avoid making any noise, fine until the holiday makers arrive.

I like living on Camposol most of the time but its not somewhere I would go on holiday. If these people want a raucous holiday then go to Benidorm. Lets face it all you see here are bored kids, there is nothing for them to do so they go and kick balls around in the commercial centre, where are the parents?
