In another thread John 141 said;

"Ive also spoken to our solicitor today and they have informed me that the price of electric and water connection comes to 540euros".

I've noticed on a similar thread on the main forum 'Electricity & Water Charges' people have paid anything from 90 to 1500 euros!

Seems big differences, anyone got more info?

Hi

We were also charged 540 euro's on our final Liquidation, the accompanying letter stated [ Please be aware that the charge for the water and electricity in the liquidation refers only to the administrative fee applied by the builder. Once transferred to main supply, you will be charged directly for the connection by the main suppliers]

We have just been informed that we will be connected to the water on 10/04/07 and the electricity on 20/04/07

I'm confused, is the 540 euros the builders charge for utilities used by people who have completed before the development is completed and has a habitation license? and then a further charge is payable to the utility companies?

People on the final phase will just pay the connection charge to the utility company surely, it's got nothing to do with the builder?

I am also confused. The way I understood it was that whilst a development was in progress you were on the builders supply of electricity ,which he paid for. This is what happened to my mum. When the development is completed the builder decides when he will switch you over to main supply and you then start to receive bills from the utility Company in much the same way you would in England. I am not expecting to pay twice for connection.

Can anyone else shed any light on this.

Caroline

Hi

A direct debit as been set up on my Bank account, for [ Iberdrola Distribuction Electrica SA ] the charge was 170 euro's

This appear's to be the connection charge, the next one will be for the water

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that residents over in Spain have only received a bill for the electricity connection, not the water connection as yet.
