vetting of articles submitted to EOS

Hi all Las Siete Casas residents

Some of us are talking about meeting up to get to know each other and share tips and info on completion, moving in, and being resident in Spain. 

Up to now we have residents from;-

Stockport

Bury

Maghull (near Southport)

Rochdale

and possible other(s)?

any ideas where and when for a central meet? myself and Lorraine are flexible and can travel.

Hi we have just got back from La Siete Casas at the weekend  must admit it is looking really good and we cant wait for it to be finished. We have bought no 150 and we already know Glenn and Dawn as we met up when we went out on our first visit. Think it's a really good idea to meet up with the other residents, we live in Heatom Mersey in Stockport but would be prepared to travel just let us know the time and place and if it's at all possible we will be there.

Welcome!!  We are in the process of buying 130.  Really good to learn that the developement is looking good.

We live in Ramsbottom, nr Bury.  It would appear that quite a few of us live within a few miles of each other.   Really good idea to get together. 

Manchester - seems pretty central for everyone, but correct me if I am wrong (geography - not my good point!!). 

Any other ideas, or venue.

Come on neighbours what about this meet up.

How about a Sunday -  May 20th or 27th or June 3rd ?

With completion looming for the development we could swop tips and information we are hearing from our solicitors/agents/current residents.

Venue? the Trafford Centre (does anyone know a coffee bar, licensed bar, other?) Manchester - La Tasca, Living room, other? we could meet for an hour or so and then be able to do some shopping.

You are right - we need to set up a definite venue and date to get together.   Any of the dates you mention should be ok.  Manchester central would be fine for us, and I am sure that it must be appreciated that you would be travelling the furthest.  Trafford Centre seems ideal, or perhaps Castlefields - can sit outside if warm.  Dukes 92 recommended by friends,

Anyway, we are pretty flexible, so - neighbours - any other suggestions?

I am going into hospital for some surgery in the near future, so if a definite meeting could be arranged, I will try  to work around that.

May 20th or 27th would be OK for us. Would prefer Manchester and La Tasca or the Living Room are both good choices.

By the way we have now been told that phases 1 & 2 are having the electricity connected next Friday.

Hi Pete,

Good news about electricity, does that mean the developer has the Habacion licence ? (think thats how it's spelt) my understanding is that utilities cannot be connected without it !

Ok lets make a decision about the meet up - 2pm (or 1pm if anyone wants some lunch?) on Sunday May 27th at the Living Room in Manchester. Lorraines birthday is the next day so we will make a day of it.

 Im afraid we cannot make the 26th may. The only time we are available in may is the 13th, which is a sunday.

If the meet could be on this day that would be good, if not happy birthday to Lorraine for the 27th.

We can make any of the dates suggested including the 13th just confirm the date and time and we'll be there. Just one small point how wll we recognise each other?

We could all wear sombreros and play the maracas as somebody walks in, or book a table at la tasca under the name la matanza.

We are OK for the 13th May (John 141 you say you are not available on the 26th? the option was the 27th, still no good)

Lets go with the the date which most of us can do, we can have a further meet up if all goes well.

What's it to be;-

1) Sunday 13th May  

2) Sunday 27th May?

At the;-

1) La Tasca (Spanish theme as John suggests) 

2) The Living Room?

Not sure about the maracas John, sombreros OK I wear one all the time since buying the apartment !

For some reason don't seem to be able to send private message.

We cannot make the 13th as Pete works shifts and is working all that weekend but we can still make the 27th.

As for La Tasca or the Living Room - no preference, and would suggest a table is booked in someone's name so we just ask for that when we get there.

John also works shifts and I work every weekend and the 13th is the only weekend the children are away with John's parents. However, not to worry if it's 27th we will see you all in July / August.

Hi everyone.

Sorry we haven't been in touch recently, things have been pretty busy for us. The meet up on 27th May sounds great but unfortunately we're not going to be able to make it, friends and family have organised a 'send off' for us on that date but I hope you all have a great time. We'll just have to wait a bit longer to meet all our neighbours!

We really want to pick peoples brains on internet connection over in Spain. Does anyone know of any good internet servers and whether broadband is possible in the area where we will be. Any info and advice would be much appreciated.
