SUMA Tax Increase

Hi all,

Just had SUMA Tax (Town Hall) debited from my account.  The amount was €151 compared with €118 last year.  That's an increase of 28%.  Has anyone else had a similar increase?

Hi Jon,

I thought SUMA was property based.  If it's per person then I should be paying €75.55.  Can you tell me what service the charge is for which isn't covered by our community fees?

We have just paid 56,16 per person (2 co owners) = 112,32 (2 bed 1st floor apt)

E58.97 times 2 taken out today for a 2 bed on Jardine 5.

Not sure how the different sums are arrived at.

 Something to do with this. As far as i remember Suelo is land value and Const is construction value at time of build. They then apply a % to this to calculate your council tax. Signidicantly better than my ''pounds 1200'' in the UK

I seem to remember inconsistencies in payments last year between gardens and apartments and no-one knew why but it does appear that it should be per person.

Our payment, taken yesterday, was e56.85* 2 which is less than last year when we charged e65.63 *2.

Just had mine taken, EUR 69.11 x 2

You lucky people mine is 217.41euro!! Still much cheaper than council tax in UK though.
