Can anyone recommend a good fish restaurant local to CdA?

We have friends using the apartment in May and they are big on their fish- can anyone recommend a good fish restaurant or somewhere that has a good fish selection on their regular menu- not too far from CdA

I think the nearest would be in Puerto Mazarron, which is about 20 minutes drive away, where there are plenty! There's a really nice one by the harbour but I can't remember it's name.

Thank you-  it would be nicve to direct them to at least one specific restaurant I did think the Port would have something but we dont eat out a great deal so haven't had the opportunity to really test out many restaurant. This is a great p[lace tostart recommendations.

I have replied on the other forum which has a list of restaurant recommendations. I remember finding recommendations on this site but that was a while ago.

We've eaten at the Avenida in the Port and that was nice although we ate inside as it was a bit chilly. The restaurant next to it only has outside eating, but the fish there was great! We haven't been to Casa del Mar yet so can't comment.

I think half the fun is trying all the different restaurants out. There is one further around the port at Bolnuevo  which does fish dishes, but we had rabbit paella when we went so can't comment on the fish there. I remember someone recommending La Siesta which is also in that area. There is also another one at Isla Plana which has been recommended before.

Perhaps others can comment?

I'm going to recommend the Port and the couple of named restaurants I've been sent but will also direct them to Bolneuvo and to the Australian Bar.

I too enjoy eating out and trying new food but as my husband thinks a good  english breakfast is fine dining and wouldn't know where to start with tapas I've had limited opportunites so far!!
