Gas for barbecues

Hi All, we are thinking of getting a gas barbecue for our roof terrace.

Does anybody know if the fitting for the bottles is the same in the UK as for Spain?

No it is not as they are different valves on the bottles, regulators and sized hoses

If you typically bring a BBQ from the UK you will need to buy all of the connections locally 

Hi Steve we have a gas barbecue the fitting are not the same as the uk? The gas bottles are  not the same as the ones in the uk. they are smaller We brought the barbecue from the uk and had to change the fitting .Just back from 2 weeks on Condado the weather was great  we used our  barbecue about 5 times hope this helps Malc

Typically the regulator, hose and clips will cost you around €25 as a kit from the DIY stores

You previously would have needed have thad a contract for the gas bottle but now you can get the orange butano bottles from the Repsol garages, cost initally €54 full of gas and then the refills are €15
