Rumour or fact????

Just got back from 3 weeks at CDA. Had a great time. Got talking to someone new called 'Gary' in the Clover who said he had two apartments one in Naranjos and the other Penthouse block 8 I think.

He was of the opinion that it had been raised at community meetings this year about relocating a small percentage of the 1000's of palm trees around the external perimeter roads and making better use of them within the resort itself such as the area opposite where the clubhouse is supposed to be situated and at the end of the golf range to mask where the luxury villas were always meant to be. He also mentioned other areas.

I have asked my president, he knows nothing about this but he isnt the most informed president that I have met.  It sounds feasible possibly dependant upon irragtion costs? Has anyone else heard similar discussions.

This was actually discussed at a meeting in the past and we were told then that the cost of re-planting the trees was not an option and that it is cheaper to buy new.

Irrigation is expensive and if they were moved into the resort this would increase our water consumption.

Also I can not see trees from the outer ring which is owned by us/council being dug up and planted on the Golf land owned by someone else?

would be good as i have a place at naranhos 8 by the bottom gate and the land at the back of there is just rubble, looking out on  a few trees with some grass would be good. lets face it some areas outside the gate have a rediculous amount of trees,

I didnt mean so much the golf course as this is improving all the time. I thought the owners ownerd the outer permiter of the resort, we certainly mantain it, I meant as Nick suggested the areas of rough undeveloped land within the resort??? I do understand that this would mean cost for irragation - worth exploring if a viable proposition!!

I read a while back that the were going to extend the perimeter trees to help absorb some of the road noise from the motorway traffic as it was effecting some of the lower Jardine numbers, has anybody else heard of that?
