I saw the recent negative postings on La Hacienda and realised that few people know what they are looking at or talking about.  A few thoughts below I hope explaind some of these misconceptions:

  • The pools which were in use throughout last summer are closed for the winter.  Two of the pools have been drained and we are undertaking repairs to replace some tiles.
  • The development has full time security, 24/7
  • Endesa are finishing the installation of new transformers replacing the old electricity arangements.  Another month or so should see this completed
  • The apartments are large, well designed and have fantastic views
  • The development does have two unfinished blocks at the entrance, but 21 blocks were completed in 2007.  In spite of this we have a good community of around 65 owners.

A lot of us really enjoy La Hacienda and do not appreciate the recent nonsense posted about the development

Unfortunately, you are most unlikely to get a reply on this as the residents are concerned about bad publicity affecting the rental possibilities. Egor was very defensive last time round.

For example although most of the blocks were finished, rumour has it that the complex is not that well maintained as 80% of the apartments remain unsold/vacant and a lot seem to have white crosses marked on the windows - whether these are bank repossessions or not is unclear. Great shame as the location is great but the developer failed to keep its promise on build quality and facilities but I suppose not surprising in view of downturn in economy since 2008.

Would be nice to hear from a resident or two as there appear to be one or two bargains available on the site at 50 per cent below the original prices offered by the developer.back in 2004.
