Bolnuevo and Puerto Mazzaron beaches would be appr. 27 kilometers from Condado. Bolnuevo probably the closest.

Hi

We have just returned from Cd A.

There was a post on Perchelles Beach before we went out. It is 20 minutes away.

1) The person who posted  the directions was spot on.

2) The description of the beach was also spot on.

3) Just wonder if he is a descendant of Dr. Livingstone. How he found it I dont know. It is very quite and the sea is lovely.

Well worth a visit. We prefered  this to Pto  Mazzaron

I presume

Found by driving down roads that have no signposts on - often resulting in dead ends and lots of reversing or dodgy 3 point turns in hire cars with crunchy gearboxes, spongy clutches and brakes   .........

Perchelles is now signposted from the roundabout off the main (non toll) road to Aguillas, they have police/lifeguard presence in the summer months and even then there is loads of room - still no amenities tho, so take your cool boxes.

Also as you go down the Perchelles road then just thru Canada de Gallego there is a right hand turn near some plastic fruit houses with an old knackered sign to Calnegre (you don't see it on the way back). Calnegre on my map is further up the coast than Perchelles. Am out again next week and will be heading for Calnegre ............ to see what if anything is there !

The map i have shows lots of beaches between Bolneouvo and Cope (east from Aguillas along the coast road), however non appear signposted, so maybe some accessible only by boat

Door to door from Jardin 4 to Mazzarron/Bolneuovo including parking is 30mins on a good run, longer in summer, to Perchelles  its 25mins whenever you go and no stop/starting en route ...... and we'd knock 10mins of these journeys if we could get off CdA in a southerly direction .......... 'one day'

Yeah, Perchelles is well worth the effort and the previous directions were great, although there was a mile or so driving along the windy dust lane where I kept thinking,'this couldn't be right, this couldn't be right', lol, but keep driving along it and you eventually come to the beach and car park. Which I might add, make sure you drive down the sides of the dirt car park as there are several levels to the car park surface and not marked out at all. The beach is soft sand, but there are cigarette buts, twigs and I even found a piece of broken glass under foot, but I really liked the beach. To me it's much better than Bolneuovo as it has a shingle shell beach and impossible to walk on in bare feet. Personally I prefer Puerto de Mazarron's beach as it's very clean and the water is so calm for swimming and there are lots of shops and restaurants, cafe's and bars around it, so it's easy to spend the whole day there. (even tho the sand is more like builder's sand)

But that's just my personal preference and I am glad I went to all the other beaches to find out the one that I like the best. A lovely marina with bars, cafes and restaurants beside the beach, where would you get it? Enjoy. Geoff.
