WATCH YOUR KEYHOLDERS

My next door neighbour has just sent me a email to tell me when they have arrived at  cda on wed this week to find people renting in there apt, they had booked in with the keyholders who they had met in a bar at campersol. the renters have been slung out, and the keyholders sacked

It would be nice to know just who these people are!!!  You must be able to put your 100% trust in your keyholder.  I just know that mine would not do this.  I say NAME AND SHAME THEM!!!!!!!

I am sure we all would love to know who the keyholder is but I just dont think this story rings true.  Firstly  most people would ring there keyholders to advise they are coming out to stay? and secondly how would the keyholder  explain the high level of electricity and water usage?  Just our thoughts.

Usually keyholders want to know when you are arriving at the resort so that they dont disturb you by wandering in to check on the house plants and there you are in your skimpies or worse. This little story puts a slightly different light on that 'need to know' and my Father-in-law (as was) last year told me a tale about a keyholder who was giving one of his cleaners free room and rent in various apartments in exchange for 'language' lessons. However, we were never sure if this was just an urban myth because generally in the keyholding business there must be room for unscrupulous people to earn an extra few bob but most owners keep a good eye on their electric and water bills and real fluctuations would give rise to concern.

This is awful,  You need to name and shame to make other owners that use the same keyholder aware that this happened.

Whilst I agree with most things you say, I  have to disagree here.  The fact that you are paying someone to keyhold for you, does not mean you have to tell them your every move.  It's your apartment, you don't need showing to it so why would you have to tell them? They work for you, not the other way round.    We know of someone, not on CDA, that turned up to their apartment,  to find people in there and when they confronted their keyholder, they were told,  don't worry, I'll find another apartment for you!     Can you imagine that?    

This forum has been a great starting place  for new businesses starting on CDA.  If we are prepared to come on here and recommend people to other owners,  in circumstances like this, we should NAME AND SHAME!   Lets not beat about the bush, this is theft and dishonesty.  I would want to know if it were my keyholder.

I completely agree, they must be named and shamed.  As well as paying them you are also placing your trust ( and property ) in their hands.  Any key holder that would do this should be put out of business ASAP.  Jackinbox - you need to name them now, firstly to protect those that are currently using them and secondly to warn those looking for a keyholder.

HE DID NOT TELL THEM HE WAS COMING TO HIS PROPERTY BECAUSE HE WAS ON HOLIDAY IN BENIDORM WITH HIS MATES HE CAME DOWN TO CDA TO SHOW HIS MATES HIS PROPERTY/ HE IS 67 YEARS OLD AND DOSE NOT WHAT ANY TROUBLE WITH THIS GUY.IM FLYING OUT ON MONDAY AND I WILL BE GOING  A CHAT  WITH THE KEY HOLDERS, 

 Get him to email his president, I'm sure they can find a way to sort this guy out.

Are there that many keyholders on our resort? I for one am intrigued to know who this is but purely to make sure my keyholder is not the one(s)  involved in all of this. Bullies are amongst us all the time and this would appear what this(these) person is. If you cannot name and shame them on here then getting in touch with the president of your block could help to oust this person, not quite sure where you stand legally would maybe depend whether a contract was drawn up. Hope this is sorted out soon with a good result.

Can I just say that it is bad enough what the keyholder has done, but by threatening a pensioner with violence and arson takes this to another level. Never mind the presidents, this needs reporting to the police, then no threat can be carried out!...seriously!!

I HOPE THESE TWO SCUM BAGS ARE FULLY LEGAL AND PAID UP  IN TAXS, BECAUSE NEXT WEEK I WILL SPEAK TO MY SOLICTOR TO ASK  WHO I CONTACT ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT PAYING TAX AND DOING TAXI RUNS ETC.ETC

Not sure what jackinbox is suggesting by saying he'll speak to the keyholders, is he saying he'll 'get it sorted'. If there's any truth in these allegations then it should go to the Police. Jackinbox has already made it difficult for his neighbour because as cuz so rightly points out keyholders use these forums.

I'm inclined to think this is a load  of rubbish 'snap his legs' burn down the apartment' are serious threats and should be dealt with properly if they actually happened. Its also important to remember that its libelous to make unfounded accusations and then add a name to them.

Is jackinbox suggesting that the 'keyholder' in this scenario intends to continue their use of the apartment by threatening the owner?. If so locks need changing, the Police should be spoken to as should Milenium and a list of reputable keyholders establsihed at their office.

I'd also want to know what did jackinbox's mates friends did when their mate was being threatened- and does the mate plan to cancel his arrangement with the 'keyholder'.

All in all a curious tale with some debatable detail.

TheQuietMan THE LOCKS HAVE BEEN SWAPED, YOU GO ON ABOUT HIS MATES AS IF THEY ARE 20 YEARS OLD, THEY ARE ALL OVER 65 REMEBER THE KEY HOLDER WAS NOT IN THE PROPERTY WHEN HE TURNED UP, HE HAS HAD THE THREATS DOWN THE PHONE. I WILL NOT POST ANYMORE IM TRYING TO GIVE PEOPLE THE HEADS UP AND THIS IS WHAT YOU GET.GOOD BYE

If you were to name these people on this forum, especially after your second post where you mention the violent threats,  there would be hundreds of residents and owners that would then know who they were and as you've told us of there threats I don't see how they could possibly carry them out. If what you say is true then the community spirit that has built up on the resort may well force them out, at worst it would finish their business.

Name them, your friend would have a lot of people looking out for them.

No person should feel threatened on this resort - there must be a way they can take it further.  Have they tried contacting Mileniun for advice?  They do have lawyers available?

I would feel totally violated to think that someone you have trusted has done this to you.

I agree with Cuz, most of the keyholders have used this forum to build up a business - this forum should not just be used for recommendations.  If you have no joy you should be able to name and shame.

 Well done folks!!!...another contributer to this forum turned off because of negativity and scepticism. 

Jackinbox , thanks for bringing this to our attention, but I do believe it needs following up though...one way or another!!!!
