SHAGAN on Wednesday 23rd of August you said that you had emailed and received a reply from Devere regarding rentals and furnishings. If you have no objections and for purposes of clarity, can you cut and paste your email and their reply into this thread? Obviously any personal information can be edited from the correspondence beforehand. Thanks.

Regarding your renting inquiry I can confirm you one thing for the moment. IIf you want to rent your property through us, it will be with De Vere Hotels. And you do have to buy the furniture package that we sell; because the hotel asks for similar furniture (I enclose prices and photos). The final conditions and prices we will be able to send them to you next month.

This is the reply recieved from Roda customer Services.

I am buying on phase 2 so think apartment should be ready about March 2007 - anybody any more info than that please?  Regarding furniture package - is there just one whether you chose to rent out through Devere or Roda and if so is this the one on Roda extras page.  I agree this is quite pricey although it should be good quality.  Does anyone have any more info on the rental situation through Roda?  When we bought last year this was not an option made available to us.  Interestingly, our agent also requires us to purchase their furniture package through them if we want them to rent it out for us - so we can only use one or the other!

Sounds familiar .Mentioned this to the agent and they said would not matter. When purchased which am also on phase 2 ,agent said use all for renting but this could become complicated so somewhat unsure of what to do as marketing own property could be more rewarding cos of no fees but exposure limited.

Has anyone got any info on rentals through Roda Golf ?  My initial thoughts were that would probably be best to go with their management service (assuming they provide one ??) , at least for the first year as they would be most likely to have the best contacts and chances of loger rental periods.

We're buying at Corvera Phase 1. The plan is for De Vere to manage the hotel/golf here too. Has anyone from Roda got any details on the rental package through De Vere? Will they be offering a fixed amount of months that they require it and will you still be able to have your appartment for a certain number of weeks of the year? Is anyone indeed doing this through De Vere? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Samantha ,I popped into Roda and Corvera to see whats happening .On Roda seems somewhat chaotic at moment with no one knowing whats happening with renting as DE Vere have not given details and prices to Roda aftersales. Was told by December packages of rental s furniture etc we shall all be notified .Think earliest completion of Corvera on phase 1 will be summer 2008.

Hi Teejay

Thanks for that. I guess I'll have to be patient! I look forward to hearing more from De Vere later in the year, let's hope it's a good package they're offering....

Hi

Just to let you know we visited Villapac furniture warehouse advertised by eos and found them very helpful. It was good to see all the items they have to offer and the furniture was good quality. We are on Phase 3 so it will be some time before we need to order furniture.

If you are planing on renting out your property though Roda/De Vere then you will have to purchase your furniture through them.  If you pan to rent it out privately then the place you've found may be the one to use.

Personally I think as long as the furniture is as good or better than Rodas package we will find it will be exceptable later on by DeVere, might be wrong though.

Did I not read somewhere that Roda are changing the furniture package in Dec?  Have De Vere officially confirmed the criteria for their rentals yet?  It seemed to me a few weeks ago it was all still very vague.

Hi visited on Oct 26th and was told all should be sorted by Dec.The furniture package is being updated as a number of buyers thought not satisfactory and De Vere should be able to give all information on renting as none were available.Feel very sorry for phase 1 as nothing clear at all .

We visited Villapac in MK yesterday to view thier furniture packs.

You can veiw all the variations as they are fully assembled on site. They also allow you to mix/match from each range.

The quality and price seemed competetive with the other ranges we have looked at. The price includes del and fitting within 8 weeks of placing an order.

There is no sales pressure and due to their appionment policy there was a very relaxed atmoshere.

They also have showroom in Bolton.

Hi everyone

We saw our neighbours  furniture package - supplied by Roda - on the 25th November.  The wood was so dark brown it was almost black, poor quality e.g. melamine strip coming off the side of the brand new table.  There was only soft seating for 3 people although since complaining this has now changed along with the bright yellow sofa.  The pictures were pretty dodgy, but now where near as bad as the beds which were possibly the most uncomfortable ones I have ever seen in spain. All this for a snip at 13,000 euros!

Our neighbours furniture package is being returned.  When we last saw them they were heading to a hotel so they could get a good nights sleep!  Is there anyone out there who has bought furniture from them and is happy with it?

We were told that Roda would be renting the properties, and not DeVeres.

We have said that although we want to rent with them, we will not buy such poor quality but expensive furniture from them.  We've been e-mailing Roda regularly to try and get them to change this package - please join in and add to the pressure.

Hi All,

Didn’t fancy the furniture pack from the start, and was very annoyed that Roda Golf expected people who want to rent their properties (with them) to have only this furniture. We will be renting and will not be buying their furniture, so it will be interesting to see if they will help out in the future. How are the white goods? We have had the Fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dish washer and a Jacuzzi put in, but not seen them working yet. Hope they are better than the furniture!!!!!!!

We will again write to Roda and voice our displeasure with their policy on rental and if others do the same, we may all get somewhere.
