progress on the hacienda

on my last trip out in october - i was made believe that the hacienda would be ready with bars/restaurants etc by the start of june - maybe i imagined that dat?

yes i am still a believer! i did see up to 3 men working away in oct!

is any progress being made and at the pace that would see it completed in june - just that i would like to advertise my property but without any real facilities i dont want to conn people into thinking they are coming to a resort that would cater to all their needs and hence wouldnt have to leave the resort if they so wished.

i have read about polaris world and its visit to the court re restructuring finances but i would hope that monies had been ringfenced for this project - maybe the president of the resort has some insight into this if someone could ask her? i would be very grateful more any correspondence

Received email from HRGR community president today apologising for the hrgr.es website being down and including an update.  I have pasted the relevant para on the T/C below:  

Serious work has begun this week on the hacienda restoration and our commercial facilities.  ETOSA – who are a major Spanish building and restoration company – have arrived to do the work.  There have been portacabins and heavy machinery delivered.  Men are working on the site.  People on site are very excited to see the activity!  We are lead to believe that there will be some new facilities available May/June 2010!  We expect fast progress now and as soon as we have our website operational we will publish photos.

That is great news.

While it is disappointing and slightly worrying about Polaris going into liquidation, the biggest concern for HR owners was the possibility that the Town centre would not be completed.

It is good to hear that it is still going ahead despite the Polaris problems.

Yes good news and I have heard that Polaris have already done the deal with the banks. The three months is just a breathing space to allow these negotiations to be completed without interuption from other creditors. Lets hope so.
