Car hire Murcia airport.

Hi,anybody got info on car hire from San Javier??(Going in September)

I have used Alicante up to now so don't know the layout in Murcia .

It looks on the website they only have 4 companies on-site in terminal??,the others sited in the area??

Any info on best companies and prices etc welcomed..

At present there are a lot of alterations being done where the hire car companies parked their cars.

They are building shelters so that the cars are always under cover. presumably to try & keep the cars relativly cooler then out in the sun, as a concequence part of the area is cordened off resulting in a much smaller usable space.

There were two companies opperating out of vans on the spot, both appear to have had good  reports from others on Condado.

We used Eurega Crown in Dec of last year & in January of this year but previouse threads have indicated that the company had reduced its number of hire cars but this could be because thei rparking area had also been reduced.

We were over again in March & again in June but cannot remember who we used. However a good site to look at is Do you Spain.com. We have done all our bookings through them & our neibour who has an apartment on Hacienda uses them too

we've flown into San Javier about 9 or 10 times now and have got to know the car hire area pretty well !   The car hire desks are in the arrivals hall near the carousels. There are 6 firms based there. The only one we would be reluctant to use are Goldcar as the queues are so bad, we've seen this time after time. We don't care what their prices are, we are not standing in their queue ! We've no problems whatsoever with DoYouSpain and Auriga Crown.  

As for the car park itself, it seems to us that all the firms have now got more spaces, not less, the car park appears to have increased in size, and as Jan says they are now under shade.

We have flown into both airports and have found that hiring a car at San Javier is slightly dear than from Alicante, don't know why?, but might have something to do with choice.  Argus car hire (advert below ) seems to give very good competive quotes and we have used them a few times now with no hiccups.

Hi John,

I have booked a car for spain with carjet.co.uk from Murcia for Sept and Dec, one is with Victoria car hire and the othe is dickmans both operate out of a van in car park. Have used carjet a couple of times but this will be first time with either of these companies
