You do not need a locksmith to change the front door lock all you need to do is go to the local DIY store ie leroy marlin and buy a new barrel and change it yourself which will take about 5 minutes.

As new Quad owners can anyone advise whether it's generally the font door and kitchen door locks that we should change or would you recommend changing the utility gate lock as well.  Also, what about the front (garden) gate lock?

It is not expensive as they are all simple but ideally you should change all locks

Hi, Its a good idea to change the locks, but to be honest we swaped ours around as they are all the same. Also  you could buy a new lock set for 22E inc 4 keys from down in the village to replace say the  rear door. Consider fitting an alarm or alarm dummy box as they are a good deterant on a residential complex.........Good luck with the DIY locks
